List of storms named Bertha
Appearance
The name Bertha has been used for five tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean.
- 1957's Bertha
- 1984's Tropical Storm Bertha - formed in mid-Atlantic, never threatened land.
- 1990's Hurricane Bertha - moved north parallel to the East Coast of the United States before dying over Nova Scotia; nine dead, including six on a ship sunk by the storm, and damage was reported in Canada.
- 1996's Hurricane Bertha - crossed Leeward Islands and passed near Puerto Rico, later making landfall at North Carolina, causing $270 million in damage to the United States and its possessions and many indirect deaths.
- 2002's Tropical Storm Bertha - formed only two hours before landfall in Louisiana, exited back into the Gulf of Mexico, struck Texas. Caused minimal damage but one person drowned.
