Elliott Yamin is the debut album of American rhythm and blues singer (former American Idol finalist) Elliott Yamin, released by the Sony BMG independent label RED Distribution on March 20, 2007. Yamin collaborated with Sony/ATV Music to write, produce, and market the album.

Yamin spoke the following on the upcoming album:[1]

My main thing was that I wanted to write some songs on this, and wanted to make sure that we got some music out to the vast fan base that I've established through 'Idol.' A lot of people have been getting antsy, anticipating some music from me. We've really tried to focus on getting it out to the fans while not compromising any style or integrity.

The self-titled album includes Yamin's pre-album promo single, "Movin' On," a full version of his acclaimed cover of "A Song For You," a love song titled "You are the One", "Wait For You", and "Find A Way." "Movin' On" can be heard online at America Online Music as part of the section called "First Listen," along with previews of the three other songs mentioned above.[2] "Wait For You", the first official single, was released on March 1st, 2007, on KIIS FM. The album includes 11 tracks, although several bonus tracks are offered in different sites.

In addition, Yamin planned a spring/summer tour to promote the album.[3]

Yamin's eponymous album debuted on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart at #3, selling 90,000+ copies in its first week.[4]
