Boo!

Haven't seen you in a while; thought I'd say hello. How's real life treating you? Ral315 (talk) 01:30, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Abuse from ED

Hello. I'm aware that you are one of several who has been under attack by Encyclopedia Dramatica. I have not personally been attacked by the site, but I am aware of its nature and as its attacks are growing more vicious, I would like to organize an effort to do something about it. Please see this page for more details, and please don't let ED win by giving in to their attacks. Be strong and resist them. While people may try to attack you, their attacks can only hurt you if you let them.--Azer Red Si? 01:01, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't let it hurt me until my mom found it and somehow didnt see it was a stupidass joke, and assumed i wrote it, and somehow thought it was wikipedia... And the thought of someone else from real life finding that, eew. --Phroziac ♥♥♥♥ 06:19, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

You did the right thing. How is life? --Bhadani 13:21, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. It's decent. I'm jobless, and living with my parents, but it's been a lot worse. And not really ever very much better. --Phroziac ♥♥♥♥ 23:00, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was going to reply in to the in response log section, but noticed you indef full protected this page; there will be editors wanting to leave peacful goodbye notes there, is the trolling from registered users to the degree where it can not be controled by blocks? — xaosflux Talk 18:45, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to echo the concerns of Xaosflux. I was engaged in productive conversation on the page, and being that I am not an admin, am unable to continue there. Would you consider removing full protection, and just removing trollish comments on a case by case basis? Thanks. – Lantoka (talk) 21:43, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I reviewed the history, and it was pretty bad. But maybe being protected for a few hours will calm it down. I dunno. Trolls never make sense. I removed full protection for you guys, but I expect you'll help watch the page for trolling? I don't really agree with paying attention to people leaving, but ok. Unfortunately, he's probably not coming back like he did the last two times. --Phroziac ♥♥♥♥ 22:57, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, didn't want to wheel over it, and other admins were ignoring the protection. — xaosflux Talk 01:52, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging Image:Stalin3.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Stalin3.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self}} to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Well it isn't very unlikely that the creator of the photo didn't die before 1954 which would mean it isn't in the public domain... I personally don't know where to look for the author of this pic. 13:44, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Hello, Stephanie. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:AckbarStanding.jpg) was found at the following location: User talk:Stephanie/Archive2. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 02:19, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of people with cleft chins

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article List of people with cleft chins, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Tikiwont 13:12, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well i've now seen Cleft chin and its edit history, so please consider above just as an automatic notice.--Tikiwont 13:25, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've decided to bring this rather to AfD. If you're interested see: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of people with cleft chins. --Tikiwont 12:53, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Stephanie, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:AckbarStanding.jpg) was found at the following location: User talk:Stephanie/Archive2. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 09:40, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

Hi Stephanie. I hope you're having a good day. I'm always learning here and I want to ask a question of you. In closing the AfD on Diechland you commented that "a lack of references is no reason to delete anything." I am curious how we can meet the requirements of WP:V without sources? Now, as it pertains to this particular article, I think it probably should stay as that seemed to be a proper interpretation of consensus, so I am not really talking about Diechland. But I am curious how we can verify anything without sources? Would you mind enlightening me? Thanks! JodyB talk 15:06, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: code

This'll do it, I hope.

if (wgPageName == 'Special:Contributions' && (((lim = document.location.href.match(/[&?]limit=([^&]*)/)) && parseInt(lim[1]) < 250) || !lim)) {
    addOnloadHook(function() {
        var contribs = document.getElementById('bodyContent').getElementsByTagName('li');
        var mainNode;
        var aNode;
        var links;
        for (var i = 0, leng = contribs.length; i < leng; i++) {
            links = contribs[i].getElementsByTagName('a');
            mainNode = document.createElement('span');
               mainNode.appendChild(document.createTextNode('('));
            aNode = document.createElement('a');
            aNode.href = links[1].href.replace('prev', 'cur');
            aNode.appendChild(document.createTextNode('cur'));
            mainNode.appendChild(aNode);
            mainNode.appendChild(document.createTextNode(') '));
            contribs[i].insertBefore(mainNode, links[2]);
        }
    });
}
