deleted yet another article...

Sir, It seems you've just deleted my article on 'wikiphobia', just a moment after I entered it. Can you please explain? Your history of deleting articles (as logged in your talk page) is both troublesome and curious.

Wikiphobia is an internet slang word, which my article states in its first line of text. There is no pretext of an official mental disorder as defined by a body of mental health professionals. It is a widely used phenomenon. It would seem you deleted my article in less time than most humans could read it (I believe it's Time To Live was under a minute or very close).

Can you please explain your reason for deleting it or restore the content? chrishibbard7

You may not realize this, but Wikipedia receives hundreds, perhaps thousands of new articles per day. Many of them are deleted on the spot because they do not meet our guidelines for inclusion. I do a lot of new article "patrol".

"Wikiphobia" is a neologism. Such words are rarely included here. It could also be considered "made up", meaning it also doesn't belong here. Please see the following pages for details on these guidelines:

deleted article wikiphobia

Madam, Thank you for your quick and sane response to my question concerning my deleted article wikiphobia. I've read through the articles on Wikipedia concerning what doesn't belong on Wikipedia, and reasons most articles are deleted.

Still, I feel the subject meets the guidelines for wikipedia articles. Your own page links to a wikipedia article for the internet slang term real life, and that wikipedia article has links multiple other articles written on slang terms such as meatspace and other frivilous internet slang terms. Should other responsible Wikipedia contributors delete these articles?

wikiphobia is a widely used term (just google it to see) and I believes it deserves coverage.

If you can show that "wikiphobia" is used widely by mainstream media, then perhaps it merits an article. (But at 88 unique G hits, I do not think you'll be able to do that.) Photo of "Bombax" at Lalbagh Gardens in Bangalore

I was looking at your photo today as I was writing on species of Bombax and, although I'm no expert on tropical trees, it seems that your photo may be of a Kapok tree, which was formerly treated in the genus Bombax, but is now called Ceiba pentandra. I'm not sure about that at all though, but I wanted to ask if there was any more information. I'm assuming you took the photo and were there, and if that was the case perhaps there was a tag or something with a common name. Thanks Djlayton4 | talk | contribs 19:33, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
