Nicholas Confessore

Nicholas Confessore is a reporter on the Metropolitan Desk of The New York Times. covering Albany. He was previously an editor at Washington Monthly and a staff writer for The American Prospect. He has also written for The New York Times Magazine, The Atlantic Monthly, Rolling Stone, The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, Salon.com, and other publications. He won the 2003 Livingston Award for national reporting.

Mr. Confessore graduated from Princeton University in New Jersey.

On July 25, 2005, Mr. Confessore came in second place in Gawker.com's New York Times "Love Him for His Body" contest. He is still working to keep off his potbelly in case there is a recount.
