State Route 69 (abbreviated SR 69) is a state highway in West and Middle Tennessee that runs nearby to the Tennessee River for the majority of its length. SR 69 carries both primary and secondary highway designations is primarily rural in nature. The vast majority of this highway is two-lane with no access control. SR 69 is multiplexed with U.S. Highway 641 from Interstate 40 to Paris, Tennessee and U.S. Highway 64 from Savannah, Tennessee to Crump, Tennessee. In Hardin County, there are two seperate sections of this road due to the path of the Tennessee River through this area.
State Route 69A
SR 69 is one of the few state highways in Tennessee that have a signed alternate route. SR 69A is approximately 27.09 miles long with a north terminus of Paris, Tennessee and a southern terminus of Camden, Tennessee. It serves the community of Big Sandy, Tennessee and provides access to rural northern Benton County and southwestern Henry County. SR 69A is a narrow, rural two-lane highway throughout its entire length.
