I'm not sure about this sentence...
The identity of the Half-Blood Prince character has no apparent bearing on the main plot of the series, some critics charge, and since Harry's main concern throughout this book is to solve the mystery of this character's true identity
Didn't this book's ending confirm that Snape was the Half-Blood prince?
Yes it did when harry was trying to curse snape and snape said that harry could not use snape's (the half-blood prince) own spells against him. Wiki235 15:02, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Title Hoax Section
I propose that we add a section on all of the title hoaxes that sprouted shortly before the release of the book's real, or, at least, create a seperate article that will be linked to this one.--Dark Green 23:47, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Length of plot paragraph
I've been put off reading the plot outline as there are no paragraphs. It makes it hard work to battle all that text in one go! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.13.138.78 (talk) 00:30, 22 February 2007 (UTC).
Vandalism
Someone had typed in "SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE!!!!!" in the first paragraph. I edited it and took it away. Ravenmirta 01:46, 1 March 2007 (UTC)Ravenmirta
Text Changes
I changed part of the paragraph under Text Changes to:
The reason for the editing of the below text has not been explained on the author's webpage, but it clearly makes the nature of Dumbledore's offer to Draco in The Half-Blood Prince explicit.
I added mention that Dumbledore's offer occured in the Half-Blood Prince. Before, people who had not read the book may have assumed that the discussion had taken place in The Philosopher's Stone, since the paragraph started off by mentioning that book. I would guess the reason for editing out the text is that it reads awkwardly. It could confuse some readers into thinking that the Order had actually killed Draco's mother. -Akwdb 07:28, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Snape, Dumbledore and Avada Kedavra
As also mentioned in the Avada Kedavra talk page: Surely the use of Avada Kedavra on Dumbledore by Snape is dubious because Dumbledore didn't just drop dead like all other victims.
Not sure what Rowling has said on this issue - she has said he is dead, but still the use of the Killing Curse is dubious.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.4.237.219 (talk) 20:37, 5 May 2007 (UTC).
Well, he did just drop dead, didn't he? The spell hit him, he died and fell from the tower, as he was leaning against a pillar, if I am remembering correctly.--Dark Green 21:11, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Page Number
Allright. I have read and reread the first 200 pages, trying to find what page it is that Harry is notified that he is Quidditch captain and I can not find it. Can someon please tell me? Rembrant12 20:21, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- It was when they got their Hogwarts letters and book lists, then Harry got to know that he was made Quidditch captain. page 104 in bloomsbury edition. Painfoot 11:08, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
