"Potential Breakup Song" is the first single from Aly & AJ's third album Insomniatic. The single was released on May 12 2007 to Radio Disney. The song's high quality MP3 leaked on May 15 2007. The official version contains slightly different lyrics than the one premiered on Radio Disney. It is available on iTunes as of June 26, 2007. It is currently #57 on iTunes.
Music video
The video shows Amanda Michalka and older sister Alyson Michalka on a gray set singing the song. Randomly interspersed throughout the video are shots of Aly and AJ dressed in white as well as shots of the girls listening to their song, which may have been taken backstage or during a sound check.
The music video for "Potential Breakup Song" was shot on May 17 2007 and was premiered on Total Request Live on June 18, 2007.
