Forrest Law is a character in the Tekken fighting game series. Like his father, Marshall Law, his appearance and fighting style are inspired by Bruce Lee.

Tekken 3

The proud son of Marshall Law, Forrest trains at his father's dojo to achieve Marshall's success and greatness. As a protective father, Marshall has forbidden his son from entering any contests outside the dojo.

Marshall's long-time friend and competitor, Paul Phoenix, visits once every few months to spar with Marshall. One day, when Paul arrived, Marshall was away supervising the building of a new dojo. Paul insisted that Forrest join him in some training exercises. Forrest declined, knowing that his father would disapprove. But Paul wouldn't take no for an answer.

Unaware of Marshall's restrictions on fighting, Paul suggested to Forrest that he join 'The King of Iron Fist Tournament 3'. Paul sold Forrest on the idea by telling him he's a better fighter than his father. Forrest knew his father would be angry, but he had to prove that he was worthy of one day inheriting the dojo. Marshall was enraged when he found out what happened. To him, it was as if his son had been kidnapped.

Tekken 5

After a failed restaurant business, Forrest's father, Marshall Law, entered the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4 hoping to get back on his feet again. However, he was defeated, and failed to win the tournament. Marshall was left financially destitute, not even in possession of enough money to fly back home to the United States. This left him stranded in Japan, having to work at a famous Chinese restaurant as a day laborer.

A month after the tournament, Marshall received a phone call from his wife back home in the United States. Forrest had taken Paul's motorcycle for a reckless joyride and ended up causing a major traffic accident. Marshall needed an enormous sum of money to cover the property damage and hospital bills. He soon realized that, in order to raise enough money to bail out Forrest, he had no choice but to enter and win the newly announced - 'King of Iron Fist Tournament 5'.

Endings

Tekken 3

Paul gives Forrest a ride back to his father's dojo. Upon getting in, Marshall points at the practice room, instructing them to go there. The three of them start stretching before demonstrating Jeet Kune Do moves. When Forrest performs the Frog Man jump kick (d+3+4), he hears a loud thud and turns to see that both Paul & Marshall failed on performing the manoeuvre. Forrest just shrugs it off.

Tekken Tag Tournament

Forrest and Paul are sparring until, at a given humorous moment, they kick each other's private areas at the same time.

Appearance

Being based on Bruce Lee, the numerous outfits he has worn resemble those worn by Bruce Lee. Forrest's 1st selection attire resembles Bruce Lee's, in the movie "Enter the Dragon". Forrest's ending in Tekken 3 is similar to Marshall's ending in Tekken 2. In Tekken Tag Tournament, Forrest's 5th selection attire resembles Bruce Lee's in the unreleased "Game of Death", though with no sleeves.
