Kaze

I was wondering if there is someone out there who is interested in the music of Kaze(rapper). He is most known for his work with 9th Wonder in the album Spirit of '94. I've tried researching, but I've found nothing. Someone please tell me about the album too. The year, label, and any other description. If you can find any other Kaze albums, note them down.

Catherine Patricia Mackin

I was wondering if someone would be interested in writing an article about Catherine Patricia Mackin, also known as "Cassie", to be published on Wikipedia. She was an NBC news personality in the 1970's, and was an important female figure in television journalism. Latent Failure Model

I've tried searching for an article on this concept by the few names I know it by: Latent Failure Model, Complete System Failure Model, and Swiss Cheese Effect. It is an important concept in accident/mishap and safety investigation. The basic concept is that while on the surface it may seem that one individual is the cause of an accident, one can often find failures within the various levels of the system that were to blame, as a group. The various system levels are, from top to bottom: Institution, Organization, Profession, Team, Individual, and Technical. Failures at each level cause an unchecked chain of events leading to an accident or mishap that could have been prevented at several different checkpoints, had those failures not occurred.

Feedback systems

An article about feedback systems would be nice to have: a market economy is a feedback system - that's, if you think about it, the reason behind it's success: it allows one to put each part to its correct best place in the system. Also the natural evolution's competition is statistically a faadback system. Objective thinking with a holistic view, honesty and justice mean giving each thing feedback according to what it is like. So they too should be valued if one values the market economy's success. An article about this subject would bring the world toward good.

Fort Ancient Valley Conference

Hello, I was surprised to find that this page was not created yet. The FAVC is a high-school sports conference in southwestern Ohio. It is the largest conference in the state and is made up of three separate divisions and 18 different high schools. The conference was named after [Fort Ancient], a Native American site in the local area of the charter schools. The conference's website, which includes a complete history, can be found here. Eva Soulburger

A resident of Burlington Vermont Who is employed as a speaker at the Flynn Theater. People have frequently complained after a performance saying that she ruined the whole thing afterward with her annoying voice and ugly appearance. An article in a newspaper released in 2006 was titled "What is That" and showed a black and white photograph of Mrs. Soulburger crouching behind a bush and eating a tuna sandwhich.

Scenes (Sociology)

I have been trying to do research on scenes in sociology, but I have not been finding much. Most people seem to confuse scenes with subcultures and I would like help to make an article that states WHAT a scene is.

By Scenes I generally refer to the dictonary definition that that it is a section of the society that share a common interest. I consider this different from Communities of interest and Subcultures. A community of Interest and Subculture do not include the wide range of people that a scene can include.

A subculture is a group of people with shared interests, trends and behaviors.

A Community of interest is the people interested in something.

A SCENE would include everyone interested in the thing, the people who facilitate it, the media people, and so on.

One example is the motorbike scene. It includes bikers, racers, stunmen, extrame motorbike riders, marketers, collectors, makers, mechanics, designers, reporters, law makers, biker magazine people, and other such people. Some of their interests may be purly business. Others may WANT to be interested in them for the Motorbikes themselves. They are all part of the scen as far as I can tell.

Good Idea. I have been working on the Emo article. And I believe this article would help with some of the confusion surrounding this. At least I assume that's what you're talking about. You ARE talking about the slang term, right?

Shoreside Clothing

I have no idea how to get this up but it's a clothing company that is pretty popular here in Florida. They were recently featured on FOX news [5] as well as Surfline Magazine[6]. Pretty much any information can be found on them at thier website shoresideclothing.com or shoreside.weebly.com. I would like to upload a page about www.Fixya.com. Fixya is a web2.0 site where the community solved tech support related problems. Fixya gained a lot of momentum these past month entering Alexa top 10,000 sites and raising $4M from Mayfield and Pitango VCs. AM Only

I created an article with this title and it was the victim of Speedy Deletion. Now when I click on the words, it forwards me. I wanted to recreate the article when I had more sources that meet Wikipedia's critieria. But this would be the ideal title for the article. The current name of the business/service is Dial Global Adult Standards, which is kind of unwieldy. The links now forward people to Westwood One, which mentions AM Only but only because Westwood One sold or assigned the business unit to Dial Global. The original name, given by a company no longer in existence due to mergers, is the best name in my opinion because some people know it by that name.Vchimpanzee 13:35, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sure that it is a very interesting book. Before adding an article to the encyclopedia you should make sure that it meets the relevent notability guidelines. Basically the information about a subject should be verifiable by non-trivial mention in multiple, third party reliable sources that can then be cited in an article. There are some other possible criteria in the policy I linked to also. If you can meet the criteria in the guideline, please stop back and we'll dicuss it some more. Hello and thank you for writing and my apologies for the delay in this reply.
It can be very frustrating to see an article you've worked on get deleted, the key is to understand why things get deleted so you can avoid it happening. (Disclaimer: following these rules doesn't guarantee that articles won't be deleted, but it does make it more unlikely)
To be included in the encyclopedia, a subject has to meet the relevant notability guidelines— basically an organization's information has to be verifiable by non-trivial mention in multiple third party reliable sources that can then by cited in the article.
The deletion log for the article you tried to create says that it was deleted for being non-notable, so evidently you didn't provide what I described above.
On another note, since you are evidently involved with this team, you should be aware of our conflict of interest guideline. You should avoid creating or editing articles on subjects that you have too close a relationship with. If the subject is indeed notable enough, someone will come along at some point and create it for you.

Online Food Ordering

Online Food Ordering is a method of ordering food for delivery or pick-up from a restaurant off of a computer. This differs significantly from traditional methods of ordering food, such as using the telephone. Advantages of ordering food online include: a) convenience; b) clarity of order, which is sometimes lost over the telephone; and c) instant tracking of the delivery order.

Campusfood.com, founded by Michael Saunders, pioneered the space in 1997 [7], and it was joined in 1999 by SeamlessWeb and Delivery.com [8]. There are many other companies that provide online food ordering, including the pizza chains Papa Johns and Pizza Hut as well as certain branches of the quick-serve chain Subway.

Summer School For Teens

Summer School For Teens

Summer School is never fun pretty much 90% of the time but its a good way to catch up on your credits. I am actualy in Summer School right now for english and our school is doing a 3 week online summer school program. It is kinda hard but frieking awsome, because in just 3 weeks you can get as much as semester credits back!

More Information on Shinobi (Ninja) Weapons and Tools

There is a small section in the Ninja Article [9]. I know there are plenty more weapons and tools that they used. For instance, there is the Mizugumo, or Water Spider, which (allegedly) allowed shinobi to cross water easily. I just want more information on these, please.

The Nameless Band

The Nameless Band featuring star guitarist Jay Jenei, vocalist Tom Shetler, rhythm guitarist Colin Macnamara, drummer TJ DiPilla, and bassist Joey Aji, have been dominating the east coast music scene. Their last tour featured a opener from the lesser known band Sunday Hop, (who originated in the same town.) Worth Ranch

I'm planning on creating an article on the Boy Scout ranch located near Palo Pinto, Texas, in Palo Pinto County, I do know it was a ranch in the 1800s, that it became a Scout Camp in 1929, and held it's first summer camp in 1930. I know quite a few other trivial facts, such as the dissapperance pf "Charlie" in the mid 1900s after the three vehicle collision in the lower reigon of the camp known as the bottoms. There was a fairly famous brand (duly named the Worth Ranch Brand) that was used as a cattle brand when the ranch cared for cattle, that disappeared in the 1970s, and has yet to be found. Worth Ranch also has a quite a few stories in Palo Pinto Campfires.

I know more things but I need more information regarding things like History, Geology (Kyle Mountain, the treasured landmark of the ranch), and perhaps Mythology. Being a Boy Scout who has camped there many times, and loves the ranch itself, I would like to see an article on the ranch fairly soon, and if it could be started and added onto quickly, it could be something to read up on.— Preceding unsigned comment added by JabberJacob (talk • contribs) 02:01, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What the article needs now is something that asserts why this particular boy scout camp is notable. The article also needs to have some citations from reliable sources, otherwise it violates the encyclopedia's no original research policy. Flyi DCG

I am VERY new to Wikipedia and would like to submit an article on Flyi DCG. He's a Jacksonville Florida Rap Artist who has also been in a movie, done music for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and helps other Artists get their music heard and recognized. He has the Offical Jacksonville Mixtape called Whilin Da Mixtape. I submitted an article yesterday with full details of him and his life, but it was deleted immediately and I'm not sure why. Project-specific: Overview/history of why the current policies and guidelines came to be.

Wikipedia has an impressive amount of policies and guidelines, which allow it to function more or less effectively. Undoubtedly more will be added in the future, which will be shaped by those already in place. If you dig deep enough in the history of these policies and guidelines, you might find information on why they were created, and various other project articles might have mentions of the form "in responce to x, policy y was formed". But (as far as I can find), no global overview exists that places the creation of all the policies and guidelines in context. It's all scattered and really hard to piece together. The existence of a project specific article (titled Wikipedia:History_behind_policies_and_guidelines?) would seem to me to be a very useful resource, especially in the deep future. Newly starting wikis might also benefit strongly from this, as rather than blindly copying wikipedia's policies, they could examine the reasons behind the creation thereof, and make different (better?) choices for their specific circumstances. I think the most useful way to set up this article would be in chronological order. Something like "In April 2002, reverting wars (insert short explanation of what that is and how they came to be) caused the creation of policy X; this was found to be ineffective during the controversy of FooBar in June 2002, and so changed to Y", which would show how the policies and guidelines all organically grew, but a list of the policies and guidelines with a short blurb each on why they were created might also work; I don't know how much interdependency there is between them.

I would start such an article myself, but I'm a complete outsider to wikipedia, and I don't know anything about why any of the policies or guidelines are what they are (I'm sure at least a few were formed simply by "common sense" or "it seemed like a good idea at the time", but there must be real history behind many others), which makes it kinda hard to write any actually useful content on this subject. *g* I'm hoping that someone who does have at least some familiarity with it will see this idea here and actually implement it. That history page has a lot of pieces that I think would be useful for this overview as I imagine it, yes, although it also seems to be focusing on specifics (completely ignoring the more basic processes; might be that people here are just too close to them), and to assume a lot of prior knowledge about wikipedia from its readers. Women's international rugby

Last week (13th June) was the 25th anniversary of the first ever women's rugby international.

There was no celebrtation of acknlowdgement about this because no=oene noticed. This is not unrelated to the fact that no-where on the wbe is there a simple history of women's international rugby or even a listing of international games.

Various part lists exist on some national RFU website, and there are lists of all World Cup games on Wikipedia alreday, but after a quarter of a century at least some sort of start needs to be made to the creation of a complete list of games since 1982.

Very interesting! The earliest date listed in either the Women's rugby league or the Women's Rugby League World Cup articles is 1985. I think this subject would make a great addition to either of those articles, or to a new article if the scope of those articles doesn't cover the subject (I really don't know sports, so I can't tell). Very, very nice! Quite informative and well written in an easy to read style. You might think about reducing your dependence on external links, that is unless your using them as references. If that is the case you should format them per the manual of style. Myself I prefer to use footnotes that are standardized by using the citation templates. The article does need an introduction, a short (about 2 or 3 sentences) blurb explaining the subject for people who just want a quick definition and don't want to read the whole article. The list of Internationals is deserving of an independent article, I think- you might consider splitting it off. You should also include some more internal links, for example to the Women's rugby league article which would seem to be related. All in all a really nice article! The Blonde Girls

The Blonde Girls, a band started in 2006, ironically consists of three male members: Mike Arendt, Alex Dalgleish, and James Garrity. All of which were once members of Canadian Interference (CI) which had gained slight popularity around the Mars Area (3 time winners of the NCC Battle of the Bands). However, CI was merely a cover band, and was never meant for anything more.

CI was headed for nowhere, and it got especially worse after Martin Lamneck and Zack Lawton left to form the slightly popular Udo and The Stormtrooper. After this, it soon became obvious that almost none of the original members of CI had put fourth their best songwriting efforts.

Shortly after, Mike, Jim, and Alex started to get together in Mike's basement to jam where some very interesting ideas were formed. Pennsylvania has never witnessed a band of this great of magnitude before, but trust this humble bassist, they will be shocked.

Trulavistic is the word i came up with to define something i cant find a word for.

Trulavistic The state of being when someone wants something but cant ask for it or it will lose some or all of its significance. i.e. Like when you are about to kiss a girl/boy and s/he asks if s/he can kiss you, causing the kiss to dither in affection. (not always true)

Company Information/Knowledge - Voyager Expanded Learning

Was wondering how or if we can place information about our company, Voyager Expanded Learning, as I've seen other companies mentioned such as Fujitsu_Limited or even just Fujitsu. We're an educational publishing company, and I don't want to infringe on the "advertisement" term, but believe our company provides information worthy to discussion and knowledge. Not to mention, we're already mentioned within Wikipedia at least once on the World Maths Day.

Hello and thanks very much for taking the time to write and ask about this. First of all, for inclusion in the encyclopedia a company has to meet the relevent notability criteria, basically the company has to have been non-trivially mentioned in [[WP:V|reliable] third party sources. Also since you are associated with the company, you should be aware of our conflict of interest guideline, it is frowned upon for people directly associated with a person or organization to create or edit articles about that person or organization. If your organization is notable enough, someone else will eventually create it for you.
An alternative you might consider is that since you are a subsidiary of ProQuest, you might suggest expansions to that article. Your conflict of interest still applies, so the accepted course is to go to the article's talk page, identify yourself and your interests, and give the regular editors of the article some sources that they can use to add additional material to the article.

That sound like a very interesting bit of software. For a subject to be included in the encyclopedia, however, it has to meet our notability requirements. Basically the information has to be verifiable by reliable third party sources. If the software meets the requirements, you'll still need to create an account to be able to create the article because non-logged in users aren't permitted to create articles, thought they are allowed to edit existing articles. I think it would be very difficult to get an article about airline ratings to pass muster in terms of the Neutral point of view and Verifiability policies. You could add information to individual airline articles about how a reliable source rated them, if you cite the information when you add it. You can't just give your own opinion because Wikipedia has a strict policy barring original research. That sounds like a very interesting company. Before you start an article, though, you should make sure that the organization meets the relevant notability requirement for inclusion in the encyclopedia. Basically the organization has to have been written about non-trivially in multiple reliable third party sources for verification. If you think the article meets the requirements, go ahead and start it— but be sure to cite your sources in the article.
Judging from the tone of your note, I would hazard a guess that you are associated with this organization. If that is indeed the case I'd recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. In a nutshell, if you are personally involved with somebody or something, you should avoid creating or editing articles on that subject.

I must note that this qualification for "judge of the year" is a quite misleading statement - he was "judge of the year" for judicial "whiny garbage" conduct and being fired by the Filipino courts. Necronomicon

Would it be alright to add an article about a fictional plot devise often used in horror fiction? The one I am thinking about is the book called the Necronomicon. It appears in the Army of Darkness series, the moved the Unnamable, and many others. It has also been parodied in its own right.

Syndy Ziegenfuss

Mixed-Media artist Syndy Ziegenfuss was born in Dubuque, Iowa in 1971 and received her BFA from the University of Iowa. She received her MFA in Art and Technology from The School of Art Institute of Chicago. Her innovative artwork combines multiple materials, techniques, found objects and a unique layering process, which adds a depth of emotion that evokes both familiarity and mystery. Critics have said that "Ms Ziegenfuss has an intrinsic ability to seamlessly fuse ordinary images and sensibilities into the extraordinary, where the non-essential becomes essential and the abandoned becomes fully embraced.

Syndy Ziegenfuss' work has been shown throughout the country and most recently at Chicago's innagural arts festival called Looptopia.

Her exhibited and permanent collection work has been seen in numerous publications and has won numerous awards.
