Eastern's baseball program is its most successful to date. They are currently ranked #17 in the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association Poll with a record of 2-1. The head coach of the baseball team is John Morris. In 2006, the Eagles went 32-7 and won the 28th district regular season and district tournament. Eastern also won the 7th region regular season, going 11-3 versus regional opponents. Their season, however, ended on a disappointing note with a 0-3 loss to hated rival Ballard. In the regular season standings each year, the Eagles usually place in between first and fourth in the seventh region. Eastern Holds the Kentucky state records for most triples in a game (5), and the most consecutive games without giving up a run (5, tied with Madisonville-North Hopkins), and the induvidual records for lowest ERA in a career (David Slovak, 0.85, 02'-04'), and most no-hitters in a career (Jason Chowning, 5, 05'-06').
