Dhoom Machaao Dhoom is a local Hindi programme aired on Disney Channel India. It started on 8th January 2007 with a 1 hour special introductory episode which had a song sung by the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs winner, Sanchita Bhattacharya. The show airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30 p.m.(IST). The story deals with Priyanka Sethi and The Pink Band, a band she starts with her friends.it is currently taking a seasonal break and will return with new season.
Synopsis
The story begins with Priyanka Sethi's return to India from abroad. She has returned from the United States with her mother and confronts arrival and adjustment problems, as those around her say she is not in sync with India.
The story moves on to also revolve around Priyanka’s friends - Malini, Ambika (known as Bikki) and Kajal, how they accept her and how the four go on to create a band (The Pink Band) of their own. Fights are sparked off due to differing mindsets of the band members. To make life worse for them, Koel, the queen-bee of the school, is jealous of them and leaves no stone unturned to prove that she is the best.

Main Characters
Priyanka Sethi played by Toral Rasputra
The bubbly foreign-returned girl. She is the protagonist. She is at times goofy and ends up creating chaos where there is none.now,she has turned more strong,hot tempered and less clumsy after dealing with all the problems caused by Koel and gang.She is the idealistic student who wants to break the stereotypes at school and is looked upon as an idol by other girls. She is bubbling with new ideas, some of which get her into trouble. Her parents are divorced and she lives with her mother. Priyanka has a habit of humming to herself even in the middle of her classes as she loves to compose songs. She is the lead singer in the Pink Band along with being the sole guitarist too. Currently, she is also the president of Music Society formed by Nihaal and Parvati Menon.
Kajal Jain (KJ)
played by Aanchal Bharti
A rebel without any cause in the show, Kajal gets angry at the drop of a hat.She refuses to accept her stepmom and call her 'mom'.Kajal is the angsty drummer of the Pink band. Even though she comes across as a rebel ,she is good at heart and loyal to her friends.She likes to think of herself as a tomboy but her attractive looks and rebellious streaks find her many admirers.She dislikes Koel very much, although they were the best friends but fell out after a misunderstanding, (it was about a competition.)It seems that kajal loves addy because in their socials when Addy was dancing with Koel she looked little jealous.it is evident that she has a soft corner for Addy which she tries to hide.
Malini Sharma
played by Sriti Jha
The simple girl next door,Malini is the superstitious one of the lot.She has a great crystal clear voice but sings only bhajans at home.She has feelings for her senior, Aamir.She comes from a conservative family.She was ,till some time scared of her strict father who strongly disapproved of anything westernised.But as for now, Her father is quite understanding and caring and gives her the leave to fulfill her dreams.She plays the keyboard in the Pink Band.
Ambika Gill (Bikki)
played by Maanvi Gagroo
A typical Punjabi girl who at the same time is a Bollywood freak.The quintessential girl,Ambika puts up a show wherever she goes.She infuses the fun element and lightheartedness into everything around her.She is a happy-go-lucky girl. With a song parody on her lips and her heart on her sleeve, she lives life for the moment.Ambika loves to place bets with her friends.she has a crush on Motu.She plays the tambourine in the Pink Band.She has failed in eleventh standard.

Koel Tolani

The leader of the former band Fire-n-Ice and the Captain of her class.she is the antagonist of the show.The leader of the Kool Kats, she is a snob and a spoilt brat.She is talented but arrogant and uses her money and power to get what she wants. She along with Varun, to whom she is attracted, creates problems for Pink band.She steals the idea of band formation from Pink band and forms a band of her own.Koel tries her best to beat the Pink band.After Varun's rustication and Nihaal's entrance,she is the member of the new band 'Rockstars'.she depends too much on her dad and thinks that nothing is impossible because her dad will make the impossible possible.she is the root of all problems and brainwashes Nihaal to instigate him against Priyanka but she always fails in her plans and her fathers money cannot do anything.
Adiraj Sherawat (Addy) or (Champu)
played by Kinshuk Mahajan
A friend and supporter of the Pink Band. He likes to be called Addy the daddy of the cool. Addy is the male counterpart of Bikki (except the Bollywood element) and comedy is his middle name. He is the joker of the group. He has a knack of saving his friends when they are in tricky situations. He is a total flirt who never lets off a chance to flirt with any girl he sees. Also, he and Kajal have some kind of chemistry between them. A possible romance in the future. He lied to his friends that his parents are based in United States so that he would be thought of as cool.But the truth is that his native place is Rohtak, Haryana.He is fondly called Champu by his mom.right now,he is suffering from chicken pox and might leave for Rohtak.he will join Bikki in eleventh standard because he was not able to attend the exams and failed.
Nihaal Singh Rathod
played by Akshay Sethi
He is a new student in Heritage High.Nearly all girls get a crush on him as they love his attitude and his looks.He is a perfectionist and an all-rounder.His hobbies are arts, music, writing, photography, driving and sports such as cricket, basketball etc.He keeps bumping into Priyanka which results into fights.Priyanka takes an instant dislike towards him because of his attitude and rudeness.Also,at times he ignores her or always tries to remind her that he is the best by taking out faults in Priyanka's music.Priyanka's friends tease her by telling that she might fall for him after all these fights.A possible romance in the future.He along with Koel created a new band 'Rockstars'.With this move, they are all set to make life miserable for the Pink Band and their supporters.he is currently one of the main villans but has a soft corner for Priyanka which he tries to hide.
Aamir Hassan
played by Vikrant Massey
An orphan, he is in love with Malini.He used to work in the cafe "Braganza's" as a part-time job to support his education but has now quit as he has won a scholarship which will provide funds for his education.Aamir is quiet, intelligent, handsome, reserved and Varun's rival.He is also a member of the basketball team. Mr. and Mrs. Braganza are like his parents.Mr. and Mrs.Braganza took care of him from his childhood days.His Friends are Addy, Psycho, Motu and the girls of Pink Band.He is like a brother to Nihaal.He was also in the running for sports captain.One of his hobbies also include writing poems espeacially for his sweetheart Malini.he has graduated from school and is sad about leaving Heritage High to join some college.
Varun Bhaskar
played by Jay Bhanushali
The school sports captain and also the most popular guy in school.He joined Fire'n'Ice due to his hatred for Priyanka. Eventually Koel starts to fall for him.He acts sweet with Priyanka in order to steal her original compositions and succeeds. He got rusticated from Heritage High because of bullying Amir and reading his personal diary.
Sameer Motwani (Motu)
played by Nirav Soni
Sameer is scared of girls and faints whenever any girl talks with him. His friends call him Motu because he always keeps thinking of food.He is an aspiring fashion designer.His best friend is Psycho who boosts his confidence and also helps him out when it comes to mingling with girls.With the advancement of the soap, Sameer is shown to be gaining confidence and intelligence.He has a crush on Ambika of the Pink band.
Cyrus Kachwalla(Psycho)
played by Danesh Irani
Psycho is always bent on analysing situations and calculating their repercussions. He is the son of Heritage High's coach.A very enthusiaistic and funny guy.his best friend is Motu.

Neil Roy played by Anuj
He was the boy who partcipated in the inter school music competition along with Pink band and Fire-n-Ice.he was from the school 'St.Martins'.He won the contest but Fire-n-Ice tried to be winners through cheating.Later,Fire-n-Ice were caught cheating and the trophy went to Neil Roy of St.Martins.He also seems a bit interested in Priyanka and keeps on praising her like anything.He has returned with his band 'Tantra' to take part in the reality show 'Indian Rockers' and had reached till top three.But,got eliminated.He has a sporting spirit as in the speech he gave when he got eliminated, he said that he was not sad on getting eliminated as he knew that the other two bands were better than his.
Rohit Anand
He was the music director who offered Priyanka and Nihaal a chance to sing in his movie.Priyanka and Nihaal gave separate auditions because Priyanka didn't want to sing with Nihaal.but later,Priyanka rejected the offer as she couldn't sing without her band.
Vishal Malhotra as RJ
Vishal Malhotra(Vetaal of the Disney show 'Vicky aur Vetaal') made a special appearance in Dhoom Machaao Dhoom as a RJ of Anmol Jain's(Kajal's Dad) radio station when they were conducting the marathon to save cafe Braganza's.

With four New Episodes Every Week at 7.30 pm Monday-Thursday, Dhoom Machaao Dhoom has 100 episodes ,as of July 5th, 2007. It is the fastest moving/ airing Disney Channel Original Show.it is taking a a break after completing 100 episodes and will return with new season later, namely 31st December 2007 or 1 January 2008.
