FutureSex/LoveSounds is Justin Timberlake's second solo studio album. Timberlake embarked on the FutureSex/LoveShow tour in support of the album in January 2007. This is his first album to include a Parental Advisory label.

Release and reception

FutureSex/LoveSounds was released in the United States on September 12, 2006. The album debuted at #1 in the United States with first week sales of over 684,000. This was Timberlake’s first time at number one as a solo artist after peaking at number two with Justified. On September 17, the album debuted at #1 in Australia, going gold and shipping more than 35,000 units. It has since been certified double Platinum in Australia with sales of over 140,000. It also debuted at #1 on the same day in the United Kingdom with 90,000 copies sold. FutureSex/LoveSounds became the biggest pre-order album in iTunes history and broke the all time record for one week sales of a digital album with sales of 66,698, according to SoundScan. The previous record was held by Coldplay. The success of the album is evident from its 7+ million unit sales worldwide to date. Timberlake embarked on the FutureSex/LoveShow tour in January of 2007. The album has yielded three #1 singles in the United States. Guests are Three 6 Mafia, T.I., will.i.am and Timbaland.
