Professional Musical education in a Music College in Tambov city, the Rachmaninov State Academy of Music (class violin), the Moscow’s office of the Culture Institute (composition, arrangement). Master class SE-Hollywood, USA (compositor, producer, audio-movie business). Virtuosity owns for arrangement, playing the violin, saxophone, keyboards, flute and eastern-Asian exotic instruments. Master Class on vocals and sound-engineering.

Professional Career:

The work in USSR:

From 1969 - 1983 was fully involved in concert activities.

  • In 1969-73 performed in jazz orchestras Rensky, Lundstrem, Utesov, etc.
  • In 1973-75 lead-saxophone and arranger in the State Orchestra of Azerbaijan, which at the time was compiled of the best jazz-stars in the USSR.
  • In 1976 a new era of Chernavsky’s creativity emerged when he went “Mainstream” He Worked as a musical director with “Fantasy”, “Maky”, “Carnival”, “Dinamik”, “Veselae rebyata”.
  • In the 1980s, Chernavsky wrote music and worked as a composer and producer.
  • He worked with many Russian Stars, such as: A. Pugacheva, V. Leontyev, M. Boyarsky, S. Minaev, T. Myagi, V. Presniakov, A. Veski and many more. His musical passions is more oriented towards Mainstream music, R&B and Elektro-Fujen than to the Heavy-Rock.
  • Chernavsky is also active in the movie industry, with George Ungwald-Hilkevich, Sergei Solovyov, Valery Pendrakovsky and other prominent directors.
  • He also created sound-tracks for more than 20 Cartoons-films, in close cooperation with the famous animators I. Kovalev and A. Tatarsky (author of films “Sledstvie vedut Kolobki”, “Tails & Wings”, ”Pilots” and etc. obtaining International Golden Prizes), and other authors.
  • In 1981 Chernavsky created a group, later named “DINAMIK” (Y. Kitaev, S. Rizgov, V. Kuzmin, Y. Chernavsky) in it Mr. Chernavsky was a music director, keyboard, saxophon and arranger through new musical ideas (2 first albums “DINAMIK”).
  • From 1983 he worked as a musical leader in the group “Veselae Rebyata” where he recorded the album “Banana Islands” that became extremely famous in the USSR. Audio albums such as “Banana Islands” and “Automatic Kit” (later bought by publishing EMI-Europe), constitute the first international level of Russian rock-music
  • In 1986 Yury is acting as a founder and president of the Pop-Music studios “Record” (Ministry of Culture USSR) - the first in Russia largest independent professional company in the field of entertainment, with a multitude of branches throughout the country, giving companies start for the famous manager-producer Sergey Lisovsky, ATV -TV team, “Tander May” team, “Mirage” group, “Klass” group, Studio I. Babenko, Studio B. Jarov, Studio I. Matvienko ... Such performers as Vladimir Malejik, Igor Talkov, A. Razin, A. Malinin, Natalia Vetlitckaya, Sergei Krylov, Oleg Gazmanov and more.
  • Alla Pugacheva worked closely with Chernavsky, and in 1984, together with the vocal group of “ABBA” performed songs “Through The eyes of a child” and “Superman” (Presented by the TV Star Jacob Dahlin). These songs for the first time ranked highest in the West-European Charts.

Since 1990, Chernavsky worked in Germany (Berlin), where he has established (1993) a record company “How's that” Music Gmbh with known hit-maker Bruce Hammond. Hits created by this company (including the "Mark'Oh” project with the "Love song", "Tears Don't Lie" and others...), held 1st place in the “Top Hot 100” European Charts for one and a half years. At the same time Chernavsky with his partners Bruce Hammond Earlam, Douglas Wilgrove and Pikosso Records company has been involved as a producer and composer for "Beyond the Banana Islands" and "Magic Tour" albums, which was relised in Europe and Russia. It was the first his albums where were participated German, Russian and US performers.

The work in Hollywood:

In the 1994, Chernavsky moved to work in Hollywood, where he established a company “LA 3D Motion” with his older son Damon [1] . Damon worked with intense computer graphics technology - CGI in video-movie industry. Chernavsky produced his son who later on this 18th birthday received recognition on the "MTV Awards" for the best music-video of the year. He received the award for his work on "Get down" by the “Backstreet Boys”, he also worked for groups: 'N Sync, The Boys, Rod Steward, Tupac Shakur, Dance Jam , etc. Damon’s creative team works as experts and masters in the computer Movie-FX with many companies in Hollywood. He also worked with independent corporate FX-groups such as “Digital Domain” leading by worldwide known movie director James Cameron (“Terminator”, “True Lies”, “Titanic”), and others companies. Currently Damon is a co-owner of the Hollywood 3D FX studio “Red-2-Studios” ([2] See the Video).

Chernavsky have a relationship[1] with the musical family clans of Dionne Warwick - Damon Elliott [3], the Jackson family - Jermaine Jackson, companies Red Square Studios, Track Records (Recording Studios), Ambience Music Group, Pikosso Records, EMI, SONY, etc. Traveling and experimenting in the field of international music-business with young American and European singers and musicians in the style of R & B and Rap, movie actors, directors...

In the present time:

Chernavsky is works on major projects in the USA and Europe to develop Russians advancing ideas on the world market, the selection of young professional European artists (such as a Fox group) [4] and famous mortal-art fighters to present their skills on international entertainment levels.
