A Jamthund is a member of the spitz breeds that are found in Northern Europe and are described as having a wolf like appearance.

The dog's description is as follows.

Tightly Curled or a scimitar like curve in the tail: Erect ears, Medium to Long Muzzle, strong, long endurance, with a Double coat of usually two colours. The eyes are brown.

The Jamthund is eponymous to Jamtlund, a province of northern Sweden. Since the end of the last Ice Age, Jamthunds have been the friend and helper of Swedes. They are also the National Dog; used for Moose hunting(ElgJagd?) and sled pulling. They also make excellent pets and companions.
