Wikipedia wants you! Together we are building an encyclopedia and a wiki community. You can edit and create articles on Wikipedia right now. Learn how to contribute with the tutorial (or just play around in our sandbox).

Questions are welcome at the Village pump, and for more assistance consult the Help directory and our policies. You can read (and write for) the Wikipedia Signpost, which reports news about events in the community. If you haven't done so already, you may want to create an account (why?).

Collaboration of the Week

Help edit [[Template:Cotw1]] and [[Template:Cotw2]], Wikipedia's current Collaborations of the week! Please help to improve them to featured article standard.

The Seventies in its most obvious sense refers to the decade between 1970 and 1979 (see: 1970s), but the expression has taken on a wider meaning over the past several decades.
In America the decade is often referred to as the "Me Decade", a label given by social analyst and writer Tom Wolfe.

A Navy is the branch of a country's military forces principally designated for naval warfare, namely maritime or ocean-borne combat operations and other functions.

You can still help with last week's article High Middle Ages (see how it improved), look at previous collaborations, or help pick next week's article.
