U.S. Highway 163 is not related to U.S. Highway 63 despite the number's implication of such. It currently runs for 64 miles (103 km) from Bluff, Utah at U.S. Highway 191 to Kayenta, Arizona at U.S. Highway 160. It passes through the states of Utah and Arizona.

Between 1934 and 1938, a different U.S. Highway 163 existed between Des Moines, Iowa and Oskaloosa, Iowa. This was a previous alignment of U.S. Highway 63 before the latter was rerouted to go north. This road is now Iowa Highway 163.
