The Greenwich foot tunnel crosses beneath the River Thames in east London, linking the London Borough of Greenwich to the south with the London Borough of Tower Hamlets to the north. The entrance shafts at both ends lie beneath glazed cupolas, with lifts and spiral staircases allowing pedestrians to reach the sloping tunnel at the bottom.

The tunnel is a convenient link between Greenwich town centre and Island Gardens, a park at the southern tip of the Isle of Dogs.
