Jack E. Leonard (April 24, 1910 - May 10, 1973) was a comedian who made frequent appearances on television variety and game shows. His name at birth was Jack Lebitsky.

His style of humor was sarcastic and aggressive. His "insult humor" anticipated the style of Don Rickles, only more so.

He wore a distinctive outfit: dark suit, white narrow-brimmed hat and horn-rimmed glasses. On one variety show, it was clear how popular Leonard was at the time, as a mimic / lookalike came onstage and did a Leonard-like schtick. Then Leonard himself walked onstage and adressed his doppelganger: "You've got a great future, son... but not in this business!"

Jack E. was significantly overweight, a fact he made reference to now and then. His weight apparently contributed to his death at a relatively young age.
