I love very much Bollywood, because I have grown up with hindi films. In my opinion, Bollywood is the best film industry. But I definitely enjoy Hollywood films too.
Anil Kapoor, a brilliant actor, he has given brilliant performances, the most notable was Beta.
Shahrukh Khan, Regarding Shahrukh, he has strong acting skills which he showed especially at the beginning of his career with Baazigar, Anjaam and KHKN. His mainstream days introduced some of the best romantic films of Bollywood.
Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. Akshay Kumar was always my favorite actor, the super hero whom I tried to emulate, today I think that he is one of the most underrated actors. Saif Ali Khan proved himself in a big way with DCH and Kal Ho Naa Ho after years of being unnoticed.
Today, Hrithik Roshan is a good actor. I was really surprised with his challenging performance in Fiza and Lakshya. In fact, I think he is a good performer. Shiny Ahuja is also seems to be a good actor.
I like Preity Zinta a lot. I think she is one of the best actresses in Bollywood. I was always following her immense progression down the years. I like her bubbly personality, and I think she is an amazing actress. I was immensely excited by every performance of her, from Kya Kehna to CCCC to DHT to KHNH to Veer-Zaara to Salaam Namaste to KANK
The Eternal Diva - Formerly, I was a die-hard fan of Rekha. Umrao Jaan and Khoon Bhari Maang are the best performances Bollywood has ever known by its actresses. For me, she will always be The Eternal Diva. The best!
Dimple Kapadia is so realistic. She has an amazing naturalness in her performances.
Madhuri Dixit - A brilliant actress. One of the most beautiful women and best dancers in India.
I ADORE Manisha Koirala, Karisma Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar. They're actresses who can combine commercial cinema with serious one. Beautiful, talented with amazing acting skills. Manisha is perfect in everything she does, she is the best actress of the 90s. Karisma, after years of comedies (still good perf.) gave an amazing performance in Fiza, and later on surprised with Rishtey, Shakti showing immense talent. Urmila is Urmila:) Her psychological abilities as an actress are unbelievable, just like the brilliant Nutan had. No other actress of her generation has these abilities except for Manisha.
Kajol & Rani Mukerji - Kajol is a very charismatic actress. She made her best in strong women-oriented and films like Dushman and Baazigar and was brilliant in all time YashRaj romances like Yeh Dillagi and DDLJ. Rani is wonderful and I liked her in Saathiya and Black.
Nowadays - I think Vidya Balan and Ayesha Takia have the potential to become the next stars. Konkona Sen Sharma is a BRILLIANT actress and I believe she will be part of many critically acclaimed projects and Art Films.
Smita Patil & Divya Bharti were great actresses. I'm really painful for their untimely death.
The most underrated - Undoubtly, Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty. Even though Tandon won the NFA for Daman (a great film BTW) she is still underrated. She's given brilliant performances in films like Aks and Satta. As for Shetty, Phir Milenge and Dhadkan should have done way more than they actually did for her.
The Commercial Hindi cinema is fantastic. Raj Kapoor films and Yash Raj Films are all time romantic and unforgettable films (with this eternal music...), and Yash Chopra is the best director. I've grown up with his films and he is one of those who created the culture of Bollywood. Karan Johar seemed to be a big fan of Chopra as he followed the history with hard and good work. Rajshri films always make me feel good. These old-fashioned films are really good. Mahesh Bhatt (and all his relatives etc), is a director who can make both commercial and Art films, for example the difference between Murder and Arth. Rakesh Roshan deserves applauds for his films, especially for Khoon Bhari Maang
Overall, I don't wanna point out titles, since there are lots of. My favorite film out of the 2000s is Fiza. That's all;)
Some of my favorite films. Just a little little part... And only Bollywood films are listed here...
However, I'm not here to glorify my favorites. I'm working on every single page. I want to help the Bollywood pages. I think they're really deprived. I'd also like to work on other pages as well, but I want to concentrate on one thing now.:)
Important proverbs collection for life...
"One minute of reconciliation is worth more than a whole life of friendship." (Gabriel García Márquez)
"Sin and love and fear are just sounds that people who never sinned nor loved nor feared have for what they never had and cannot have until they forgot the words..." (William Faulkner)
"Death is terrifying, but it would be even more terrifying to find out that you are going to live forever and never die." (Anton Chekhov)
"If you really think about it, everything is wonderful in this world, everything except for our thoughts and deeds when we forget about the loftier goals of existence, about our human dignity." (Anton Chekhov)
All of them are brilliant editors. I just hope I could work as they worked. They are so fair-minded and try to make justice with every article.
Barnstars
The Indian Cinema Barnstar
I, Blofeld the Bald, award this Indian cinema Barnstar for your excellent and prolific work on Indian films and actresses and cleaning up articles to a high standard. Your're a credit to the industry. This is also for sharing my exquisite taste in beautiful actresses. As they say in Scotland "Ya doi'n good laddie"!
For being one of those editors who has continuously helped improve many Bollywood articles by leaps and bounds. BollywoodDreamz 06:29, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Creating the {{Filmfare Awards}} and adding the template to the award categories.
Cleaning up the Category page of Bollywood. Going through all the pages categorized under Category:Bollywood and removing the cats where actually they don't have to be.
Hopefully I can say, this list will only increase gradually with the time:-)
Before and After
Here you will find pages I've been mostly working on, and have widely exanded them. Here I give links to the page status - How it looked before my intervention and how it looks now (after)
During the indicated periods, I have contributed to these articles more than every other editor.
That's a super incomplete list, just for a general example. There are so many more, but I think it's enough as an expression of my work on different pages. Cheers!
