Michael Allan
Michael Allan is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. He played college football at Whitworth College, a Division III school in the Northwest Conference. He was drafted in the 7th round of the 2007 NFL Draft.
Allan became the first Whitworth College football player to be drafted into the NFL since Eric Kelly was drafted by the Detroit Lions in 1972. Allan also became the first Division III player drafted into the NFL since 2003.
Listed at 6'6" and 255 pounds, Allan helped lead Whitworth football to their first 10-0 season in 100 years of football, including to the second round of the Division III playoffs.
Allan was invited to play in the 2007 East-West Shrine Classic and participate in the 2007 NFL Combine following the 2006 season. He ended his Whitworth career with school records for individual season touchdown receptions (15), career touchdown receptions (29), and career yards per catch (18.7).
A Journalism/Mass Communications major, Allan impressed the media at the NFL Combine by posting great marks for tight ends and an impressive interview.
Allan was cut from the Kansas City Chiefs on September 11, 2007.
