Template talk:SleepSeries2/Archive1
I created this template because I've been through the articles related to sleep several times, and I felt something was missing to tie them all together. Ironically, I created this template near midnight (my time zone), and am too tired to compleate it now. I don't know when I'll be able to log in again, so my only hope is that someone else will finish where I took off. I think I've put in the general idea of what my intention with this is. Some other things I was thinking of adding to the list were:
- More disorders under "sleep disorders", perhaps "Sleep disorders: Parasomnias: Sleepwalking and Sleepeating"?
- More articles under "Dreams". Perhaps false awakenings and dream interpretation for starters, though the last of these would make that article's page look quite ugly, making it be part of two series.
- A sort of "others" (un-organized, un-bulleted list of general topics) such as snoring or nightwear (the latter of which could admittedly create a new "heading")

- I think this belongs in Category:Medical navigational boxes. It doesn't belong in Category:Sleep as that's an article category. But I wanted to see if anyone thinks there's a better category for this (all the medical nav boxes are set up a certain way and this may encompass more than just medical articles about sleep). --Galaxiaad 01:45, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm expanding it...Focusing on disorders and sleep-related phenomena
Take a look and let me know what you think. I'll probably be expanding it spanning a few days.
I'm just adding the tags to the template and the articles. The format will be messed up on most of the them, but I'm not an expert in spacing... (eventually needs to be fixed) Erik212 04:35, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Format problems with a few articles
The articles slow-wave sleep, theta wave, delta wave and a few other articles have pictures that are sent to the bottom of the series table. I have temporarily fixed it by moving the images to the left side. Someone with more formatting expertise please review this. Erik212 15:30, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
formatting/placement
I wonder if it would be more appropriate to make this a horizontally-oriented box at the bottom of pages instead of a vertical box at the top. Certainly theta rhythm is related to sleep, but even just looking at the article it, the page isn't very focused on the sleep aspect (and the same for gamma wave, for instance). The box itself also doesn't look so great on my screen formatting-wise and the colors and lack of a border make it look odd (c.f. the box on, e.g., saturn). digfarenough (talk) 22:15, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
I agree
But then how will people know that the article is part of the series if its all the way at the bottom?
