Desmoche founded in Nicaragua, is a popular card game.

Object of the game

The objective of Desmoche is for players to pick, draw, and "pay" (using their cards on hand) for cards from the deck. To win, a player must have accumulated 10 cards before any other player first.

Playing the game

Desmoche uses a standard deck of 52 playing cards. The game of Desmoche is played with 2 players minimum, 4 players being the maximum. Anyone player can be the dealer, and he/she deals the cards counter-clockwise rotation (i.e.) to the right of the dealer, with the last card being dealt to himself. Each player receives 9 cards. The remaining of the cards stays on the deck, which will be used throughout the game.

The following cards will be used throughout this Wikipedia article for a visual demonstration of the game.

Once the cards have been dealt, the player’s take a time to review there cards on hand. The following is a basic illustration of an in-game strategy that can be used in the game of Desmoche.

In order to use this strategy a player must apply the rules of Desmoche.

In the visual example one can see the basic variations of Desmoche. Which is having two of a kind: the 8 of Spade, and the 8 of heart. The other basic variation is having a number of the same suit follow a sequence: Ace, K of spades, Ace, 2, and 3 of hearts.
