Sparks is a town located in Cook County, Georgia. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,755.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 10.2 km² (3.9 mi²). 9.5 km² (3.7 mi²) of it is land and 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 6.87% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,755 people, 644 households, and 443 families residing in the town. The population density is 185.6/km² (480.3/mi²). There are 743 housing units at an average density of 78.6/km² (203.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 53.16% White, 43.65% African American, 0.40% Native American, 0.40% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.60% from other races, and 0.80% from two or more races. 3.42% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 644 households out of which 37.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.6% are married couples living together, 20.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.2% are non-families. 27.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
