Tarago Railway Station

Tarago (postcode 2580) is a town in the Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales. It is situated 39 kilometres from Goulburn to the north and 69 kilometres from Canberra, the capital of Australia, to the south west.
The local council is the Goulburn Mulwaree Council.
The name Tarago, is Aboriginal for "tongue" or "spring of water".
Tarago is located on the Canberra branch railway line from Goulburn and is served by a twice-daily Countrylink Xplorer service from Sydney to Canberra. The rail service is the only public transport that serves Tarago.
