A college varsity basketball team has about 12-15 players. There are probably several redlinks that should be added to the template in truth. I am not sure what standard was used to determine who was included in the template. At Category:World Series championship templates we use players who played in the series because of information availability. However, all 25 major league players would pass WP:N for being major leaguers. Thus, any late additions by good researchers will also pass. The Template:1966 Baltimore Orioles only used 4 pitchers and a total of 13 players from their 25 man roster. I doubt any omitted players would pass for a college template.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 16:48, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- It is very unlikely that most people creating NCAA national champions will have access to a scholarship database unless you know a historical one that is on the public record. If this AFD results in keep or no consensus I am going to use Michigan Basketball], which list 12 members of the 1989 National Championship team (including 6 future NBA players plus Rob Pelinka). What would you suggest I do about the 5 redlinks?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 20:55, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- I am guessing that most teams more than 10 years old will not have many players with other experience that can be readily found on the internet, but I will give it a shot.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 18:21, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
A picture will definetely be better. References are adequate. Try talk more about his life. Is he engaged, married, or single? What are the names of the wife and child(s), if applicable. The lead section is too short. It should summarize the entire page, not just current status. OhanaUnitedTalk page 01:17, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Pretty much agree with everything mentioned above. The lead should be expanded, more should be said about his personal life and outside interests. The first paragraph into the college section can probably be moved into HS. There's plenty written about his college career, but not much about him as a pro. A player profile would be nice and maybe insight on where he grew up, his family, etc). Zodiiak 14:05, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Very true about Hakim, there is not much about his professional career. You could add some information about his postseason appearance as a rookie, his role on the team, etc. A player profile section is very typical for most NBA players--what are his strengths, weaknesses, etc. You can find some information about his game at nbadraft.net. Sorry for the delay, been busy with school. I think if there's a way to cut out the kids, it would work fine. IIRC, everything on Flickr is licensed under Creative Commons. Darry2385 01:25, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
