Of course. Generally, it's up to you the author to establish the notability of a subject. If for some reason the subject doesn't meet minimum standards for inclusion, it's deleted either by community consensus or, in the case of a reposted subject, immediately deleted by an administrator. Your subject was kind of borderline, so it was first discussed by consensus if memory serves. She's done generally accessible and verifiable work, but she isn't particularly noteworthy in her field. So, reposting it with only basic information made it a speedy deletion candidate. I'd suggest leaving word with the admin who deleted the article asking for the opportunity to do a more extensive bio and any noteworthy work she may have done. I made a lot of mistakes under my previous username; I'll continue to make them.
