Globig-Bleddin

Globig-Bleddin is a community in Wittenberg district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The community belongs to the administrative community (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft) of Kurregion Elbe-Heideland whose seat is in the town of Bad Schmiedeberg.

Location
Globig-Bleddin lies about 20 km southeast of Lutherstadt Wittenberg on the Elbe.
Constituent communities
Globig-Bleddin has two of these, not surprisingly named Globig and Bleddin.
History
Globig had its first documentary mention in 1292 under the name Globik, and Bleddin had its first documentary mention in 1376 under the name Bledin.
