Biomes

The Bluebuck and Quagga's biomes HAVE NOT been confirmed. There are no screenshots of either.

Dinwrest —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 18:44, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Umm....you're wrong on both accounts. Screenshots of the Bluebuck HAVE occured, and it clearly shows it in a grassland environment. Also, the Quagga is not even confirmed to be in the final game, so we're not putting it. CBFan 20:03, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

While I found you are correct on the Bluebuck part, you are not on the Quagga. It has been found to be unlocked by releasing one of every extinct animal into the wild. If you want to edit Wikipedia, at least try to keep up with information. The uncofirmed section is no longer needed. The Giant Bullfrog is not an animal and there is nothing in the picture. Dinwrest

Excuse me, but do you own Extinct Animals? And by that, I mean the final version? No, you do not. Demos can change over time. It may have been their original intention, but we won't know until the game comes out. Until then, leave it out. CBFan 22:46, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notes

I don't think that we should have notes on the scientific accuracy of the renderings of the animals (ex: note on deinonychus's feathers, or lack thereof). It isn't really relevant to an article about the game, especially if the note is pointing out that the rendering is accurate. Pentagram16 16:38, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Take them out. Only game related notes.----- Cuddly Panda (talk · contribs) review me! 08:50, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blue Fang Games Representative

I just wanted to point out that my last name was spelled incorrectly throughout the entry. Its actually "Carpentier" and not "Carpenter".

Sorry. Glad you could pop by her for that. ----- Cuddly Panda (talk · contribs) review me! 11:09, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stop please

Please stop making up excuises for how that blurry item behind the tree is a tail, it could easily be one of the animals who have been confirmed and match that coloration, it could be a building, it could even be the back ground on the zt2 maps (like the buildings), so please stop. Dinomaster30 20:39, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lave it in. This is an encyclopedia of facts, not a Zoo Tycoon experts club. ----- Cuddly Panda (talk · contribs) review me! 11:08, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, i think you would get more positive replys on the official zoo tycoon forums Ironman33 17:59, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's that umbrella thingie used as a shelter, at least for my eye. Eriorguez 21:37, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Something else I noticed on that picture looks like a special enterance or something on the left hand side. Any idea what it is? GrimpyNZ 01:37, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Extinct Theme 2.ogg

Image:Extinct Theme 2.ogg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

What happened to the picture gallery that used to be on the page? GrimpyNZ 01:40, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh you little thick person. If you were knoledgeable enough to CHECK on what we like to call the HISTORY page, you might avoid wasting our time with stupid questions. Please, in future CHECK BEFORE YOU ASK! Anyway, the gallery was removed by someone who thought they had no fair use rationale (don't ask me what that is) so I put them back and explained. ----- Cuddly Panda (talk · contribs) review me! | join the Zoo Tycoon taskforce! 09:04, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You don't have to attack other editors over things they may not know. Wikipedia is all about co-operation and being civil. Anyway the gallery has been removed because galleries of non-free content are discouraged under Wikipedia guidelines, regardless if the images have fair use rationales or not. Generally video game articles have one screenshot and an image of the cover but there are exceptions but this would not be an exception. Xtreme racer 12:45, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for defeanding me Xtreme Racer. And for your information, Cuddly Panda, I didn't even KNOW that there was a history section!!! GrimpyNZ 17:41, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My Questions

Should there be a objects list in the article and also what is with the 35 animals rumor flowing around?Daman1234 15:23, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The 35 animal rumor is that in the extinct animals fansite kit, there is a picture of a quagga under animal renderings. Some people belive this is a '35th' animal. GrimpyNZ 17:43, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the info and I think that the Giant Bullfrog might be the 35th animal, don't you agree????Daman1234 20:02, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please try and refrain from asking questions on the game, and concentrate on the article, please. The info for the 35 animals is all on the article. No there should not be an objects list. That's what makes the Marine Mania article so badly written. ----- Cuddly Panda (talk · contribs) review me! | join the Zoo Tycoon taskforce! 23:13, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In complete fairnessy, I don't think we should worry too much about whether the Quagga or the Giant Bullfrog is the 35th animal, or even if there IS a 35th animal, until the game comes out. This is a demo, after all, and demos can sometimes differ enourmously from the main game. CBFan 15:35, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The giant bullfrog might just be a taster of all the failed cloning animals there are in the full game, so i dont think it counts as an animal Ironman33 17:57, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So, all of this was found in the demo files? Sounds nice, but I did notice something about the objectives that you listed. If there are Irish Elk/Megaloceros and Imperial Mammoth statues in EA, wouldn't it be possible that these are also in EA but in a similar manner as the Quagga (vandals PLEASE don't get any ideas)? Or, otherwise just the statues are put in EA? Maybe they can even be future add-on's like the Addax was to AA? What do you guys think?

I speculate too much. THS | (Talk) 03:10, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
