Vladimir Velebit (1907-2004) was a Croatian communist who joined the Partisans in 1941. Vladimir Velebit was a former general, lawyer and a historian. He also had been the Yugoslav Ambassador to Rome and to the Court of St. James's and to the World Bank, Major-General in the Yugoslav National Liberation Army, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, and UNECE Executive Secretary from 1960 to 1967.
