Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/Boneyard/Newsroom/Other
This is a section of the newsroom for The Wikipedia Signpost. Below is a list of some Signpost stories in development.
Next issue (December 3)
Please keep discussion to appropriate areas. Add a note here if you are planning on writing a story.
The deadline for story completion is Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/Newsroom/Other/Time
The current time is Thursday, 15:49 UTC. Update
I've made some changes to the way the Signpost shows up. It shouldn't look much different, but here are the instructions to update every week, should I fail to do so:
- Update Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2007-11-26 (or whatever week it may be). Leave the first two parameters alone; third is what number the story is numerically, fourth is the date of publication (2007-11-26), fifth is the link name after "2007-11-26", and sixth is the full headline. It's much easier than it sounds.
- Ensure the footers are correct on all pages, and they're in the correct location.
- Change Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/Issue to the correct date and issue number. This page is protected, so an admin may have to do this.
This does not update the Single Page View page at this point, but I may tinker with it later this week to make it do that too. And to any other coders: Please forgive me for the rather disgusting coding I had to resort to in order to make it work. Ral315 » 08:16, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

- Discussion
- Holiday issues will publish on Wednesday, December 26 and Wednesday, January 2. If you're unable to submit articles due to the holidays, no problem -- just let me know. Ral315 » 18:21, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know yet whether I will be able to make any particular date over the holidays or not; I may have more of an idea nearer the time. --ais523 20:04, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- F&A will still cover the same 7 day period, as opposed to having an issue with 8 days, then 7 days than 6 days. The Placebo Effect (talk) 22:46, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- However you want to handle that is fine with me -- it depends on what's easier for you as to when you collate the information. Ral315 » 03:07, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- I'm OK to write stories the first week (they'll be submitted before Xmas), but not for 2/1, as i'll be interstate, and will not have access to a PC (and if my PSP was to hook up to the net, i would never type whole articles on that! :)) -- Whiteandnerdy111 20:56, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
- Whatever happened with that interview with Brion Vibber? Did he ever respond? The reason I ask is a lot of people are still wondering about the database dump issue. (Hope that was a question on the interview.) Kaldari (talk) 22:13, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
- It was, and he hasn't responded. I'll poke him again. Ral315 » 05:26, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

- Whiteandnerdy111 is able to fill in for any editior who is unable to do their story (except for 2/1/08; 21/1/08; 4/2/08).
