EP?

I think the bit about the EP needs tightening up. I have heard that an EP was planned in connection with "Yellow Submarine", but presumably it was the four new songs in the film ("All Together Now"; "Only A Northern Song"; "Hey Bulldog"; "It's All Too Much"). Is there a source which says "Across the Universe" (which was not in the film) was supposed to be on the EP too?

This comes from the two Lewisohn Books I'll add the details when I get a chance. simonthebold 10:34, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jai guru deva om

Ummm...why isn't it ever stated what "Jai guru deva om" means? Elfred 15:00, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It means nothing. It's a mantra. The sound is used by the person chanting to aid in meditation. Troyvarsity 11:19, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There was a Wiki article on the phrase detailing what each of the words mean but it appears to have been deleted. Each of the words mean something (guru and om obviously have articles on here) but I don't think the phrase as such means anything specific although it does roughly translate into English making some sort of sense but I can't remember the translation. I'm not sure if it was a mantra Lennon was given or if he just strung the words together himself. It might have been handy if before deleting the Jai Guru Deva Om article somebody had copied the main info over to this page. MarkB79 17:47, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I belive I read somewhere that it means "gratitude to the divine teacher" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.53.72.31 (talk) 01:20, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I remember hearing a snippet about it in the All Together Now article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.122.63.142 (talk) 19:10, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

White Album Reference

This statement, "his White Album contributions were much more angry and hard-edged." I question the validity of inclusion of this. Seems like just an unsubstantiated opinion. What is it about "Julia" that seems more hard-edged? Recommend it be removed.
