  1. Usually I respond briefly on this page with a quick note, such as "Thank you for letting me know."
  2. Sometimes I respond on your talk page.

Please note that I do not use my watchlist. Therefore, if I leave you a message, please reply here. Otherwise, I won't know what you said. Best regards, Shalom (HelloPeace) 17:40, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

THanks

Thanks Shalom for reverting the spam in Karma in Hinduism. I spent a lot of time writing the article and thank you for your help.

Dormant accounts

Glad Alison took that SSP case into the RFCU version. As for long dormant accounts...if it's a solo account, yea maybe leave it unblocked, but if it's tied to sock master, I block them when they're found, just saves problems later on.RlevseTalk 21:35, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for explaining the procedure to me. Shalom (HelloPeace) 22:05, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for Gilboa

Salaam and Shalom, Shalom. I just wanted to stop by and thank you for answering by article request of the Gilboa Regional Council. Its been a while since I posted on the Israel Project page and I'm glad someone's started it. Cheers! --Al Ameer son (talk) 01:05, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Do you want to be an administrator?

I do not really want to be an administrator at this time. But thanks.

Good luck with your applications. --Eliyak T·C 06:04, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great success!

Your apology

I appreciate your apology. I hope you don't mind my saying this, but it would be more meaningful if you were to list the userids and IPs you used - do you think you could do that? Jayjg (talk) 03:12, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, I'm not going to do that generally. I remember that you blocked an IP I was using in May 2007 for 3 hours; if you really care, you can search through your block log for that month. Shalom (HelloPeace) 04:52, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ah well, ok. Jayjg (talk) 03:15, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An article which you started, or significantly expanded, Lindemann mechanism, was selected for DYK!

Updated DYK query On December 13, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Lindemann mechanism, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Thanks for your contributions! Nishkid64 (talk) 20:25, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your point abut removing the header referring to the talk page, but it has been there for some time and it has, in my opinion, and I think in the opinions of some other chemists, helped to keep this list relatively sensible. Have you seen on the talk page how we debate new entries to decide whether they are to be kept or deleted? Other similar lists are much less fitting in with WikiPedia guidelines and several have been put to Afd, though most (all science ones) have been kept. I have been looking after these discussions for some time. I would have preferred it if you had raised the issue on the talk page, but let us see what others think about it. --Bduke (talk) 23:03, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Envision High Schools

Hi, I wonder if you would be good enough to revisit Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Envision High Schools, please? This is a high school management body that has been operating since 2002. TerriersFan (talk) 15:03, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Intex

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Intex, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Intex. Terraxos (talk) 02:08, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As an aside - looking at the history, I realise you didn't actually write the article yourself - you carried out the wishes of another user expressed at Articles for Creation. Feel free to contact them about this proposed deletion if you think it would be necessary. Terraxos (talk) 02:10, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RfA

Hi Shalom,

I've decided I would be happy to accept your offer. I'd like to help the project anyway I can, and if the community thinks I'd make a good admin, who am I to turn it down? Also, if you'd like, we could go ahead and do the RfA now, rather than wait. I originally hesitated, as I didn't want to have to leave for several days in the middle of an RfA. But I still have over a week before I take a short Wikibreak, so there's time to get it done. By the way, thank you for your well-wishes! :) faithless (speak) 05:59, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey just to be really picky but, in the nomination statement, he has about 7000 edits, but this says he has 8500. :) Best, Rt. 16:20, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar

The Defender of the Wiki Barnstar, I'm awarding you this prestigious Defender of the Wiki Barnstar because of your long term superb support at WP:SSP by providing detailed, thorough, accurate, and insightful sockpuppetery cases. The help is always very appreciated! Keep up the fine work!! RlevseTalk 03:00, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, that really makes me smile. Thanks! Shalom (HelloPeace) 03:03, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}}

At the end of the first paragraph after the table of contents of Cave of the Patriarchs, there's a messed-up attempt to use Template:Cite book. Click on the edit window to see what I mean. Can you fix it? Shalom (HelloPeace) 03:38, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shalom, Shalom. You didn't have the opening and closing reference markup. Any reference you want to appear in the references section has to be surrounded by <ref>text</ref> or an equivalent reference markup. Citation templates like {{cite book}} have nothing to do with this; they just format the appearance of the citation.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 04:10, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I get it. I should have known that by now. Thank you! :) Shalom (HelloPeace) 00:33, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent WP:ANI report

You recently reported an editor's addition of a website as potential spamming of a website with images. I've responded on the report. It appears that all of the images are actually "free" images, released under Creative Commons license 3.0. — ERcheck (talk) 04:05, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum/correction: I've updated my comment on ANI as well ... The license is cc-sa-by-nc-3.0. So, the "non-commercial" is an issue. I wouldn't be surprised if the contributing editor was not aware of the details of CC license requirements on Wikipedia. — ERcheck (talk) 05:21, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Holidays

Wrong religion, but much appreciated anyway. :) Shalom (HelloPeace) 17:22, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks

Great success!
Thank you for supporting my RfA, which passed with a final tally of 53-3-2. Special thanks goes to Shalom for both the suggestion and the nomination. I'm honored by the trust that the community has shown in me, and will do my very best as an administrator. Thanks again! faithless (speak) 08:21, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AntiVandal

Thanks! Vandalism has it's own special explanation...;) Dreadstar 17:09, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Giv'ati, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a foreign language article that was copied and pasted from another Wikimedia project, or was transwikied out to another project. Please see Wikipedia:Translation to learn about requests for, and coordination of, translations from foreign-language Wikipedias into English.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:Giv'ati. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Dear Shalom Yechiel, here is a little note to say thank you for your kind support on my request for adminship which succeeded with a final result of (72/19/6).
