Some people know of TFC to mean Team Fortress Classic, but others know of TFC as:

TFC is a chain of fried chicken stores located throughout London, UK. The stores all stock products and use marketing material that looks eerily similar to that of the more well known brand, KFC.

Unlike KFC, whose name always stands for Kentucky Fried Chicken, various TFC stores have different non-abbreviated names. This is most likely due to there being small chains of stores with common owners within the larger branding and purchasing group.

TFC is known to stand for the following:

  1. Texas Fried Chicken
  2. Texa Fried Chicken
  3. Tennessee Fried Chicken
  4. Tantalise Fried Chicken

The products sold by TFC are highly processed and generally dripping in oil. They have quite good chips, but only in comparison to the lack-lustre quality of British chips in general.

Some people fear that while supporting TFC with their consumer dollars helps make a statement against the world's dominant fast food chains, they might be unintentionally supporting a machine easily on a par with the largest corporations for scariness.

This fear comes from TFC's forgoing the usual Coca Cola or Pepsi as the drink of choice and instead selling Mecca Cola. The creator of Mecca Cola has been quoted as saying that the beverage was part of the "war against the Americans and Zionism" [1].
