Loonatics Unleashed
Loonatics is an animated cartoon series being produced by Warner Bros. for the Kids' WB! children's block of the WB Television Network. It is scheduled to begin air in the autumn of 2005. It is loosely based on the Looney Tunes cartoon characters. The series is described as an "action-comedy". The characters are being designed by Christian Tremblay and Yvon Tremblay, who created and designed Swat Kats for Hanna-Barbera and Mega Babies, which aired on Fox Family Channel in the early 2000s.
Despite having only a promo released on the internet, some old school fans find the concept distasteful, citing it to be a cheap marketing ploy to appeal to an 'xtreme' demographic. Already there have been some complaints by fans who feel that this new series is in some way tarnishing the classic characters. However, others feel that this is simply part of their continuing evolution in contemporary pop culture. Some cite an ironic Pinky and the Brain episode in which the titular pair are trying to pitch their adventures as a show, and have to keep arguing with shortsighted writers trying to change their format.
Warner Brothers has reported that, primarily in response to an internet petition started by an eleven-year old Bugs Bunny fan, they have revised the original character concepts into versions that appear less menacing.
Premise
The series is set in the year 2772, and the Earth is in danger. A female human character named Zadavia (Voice of Candi Milo) calls upon six funny animal characters to form a team of superheroes to combat these threats. These characters supposedly are descendants of classic Looney Tunes characters.
- Ace Bunny, is the adroit and quick-witted, action-driven leader who galvanizes his crew for each mission, boasting infrared laser-lock vision and martial arts ingenuity. He is based on Bugs Bunny, and his outfit color is yellow.
- Danger Duck is the spotlight hungry, "I can do it better than Ace" wannabe leader of the Loonatics, boasting teleporting expertise and a talent for tossing magical energy spheres to fend off foes. He is based on Daffy Duck, and his outfit color is orange.
- Rev Runner is the rapid fire, head-spinning talker the Loonatics are quick to quash, buoyed by his brain-embedded telekinetic GPS-tracking system and catch-him-if-you-can super sonic speed.. He is based on Road Runner, and his outfit color is blue.
- Spaz B. Wilde is the group's grunting muscle-bound construction destructor causing tornadoes of all kinds with a super strength every villain fears. He is based on Tasmanian Devil, and his outfit color is purple.
- Lexi Bunny is the girl empowered second-in-command, instilled with expert eavesdropping, hyper-sensitive hearing, awe-inspiring aerial agility and an innate ability to blast objects with her mind. She is based off of Lola Bunny and her outfit color is pink.
- Tech E. Coyote constructs vehicles and conducts surveillance, and also has powers of regeneration that render him invincible. He is based on Wile E. Coyote, and his outfit color is green.

Loonatics Parodies
Template:Spoiler Internet Flash animation company TLG Media has so far produced 2 spoof cartoons parodying the Buzz/Ace Bunny character. The first one, A New Bunny, featured two school children meeting "Buzzed Bunny", who swore violently, threatened rape, murder, assault, and advocated drug use. In the sequel, *Another New Bunny, the same kids meet "Aced Bunny", Buzzed Bunny's replacement. Despite being not as violent or crude as Buzzed Bunny, it appeared that Aced was a child molester, and was trying to get the kids into the back of his van. At the end of the episode, Buzzed Bunny jumps out of nowhere and kills Aced with 2 chainsaws while yelling "EXTREEEEEME!!".
