WP:FILMS Welcome
Hey, welcome to the Films WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of films and film characters. If you haven't already, please add {{User WikiProject Films}} to your user page.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Most of our important discussions about the project itself and its related articles take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has a monthly newsletter. The newsletter for September has been published. October's issue is currently in production; it will be delivered as a link, but several other formats are available.
There is a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Want to jump right into editing? The style guidelines show things you should include.
- Want to assist in some current backlogs within the project? Visit the Film Tasks template to see how you can help.
- Want to know how good our articles are? Our assessment department has rated the quality of every film article in Wikipedia. Check it out!
- Want to collaborate on articles? The Cinema Collaboration of the Week picks an article every week to work on together.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Nehrams2020 19:19, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I remove Image:OC-305.jpg from Benjamin McKenzie, it's not same as free use.
- No free equivalent. Non-free content is used only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created, that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose. Where possible, non-free content is transformed into free material instead of using a fair-use defense, or replaced with a freer alternative if one of acceptable quality is available; "acceptable quality" means a quality sufficient to serve the encyclopedic purpose. (As a quick test, ask yourself: "Can this image be replaced by a different one that has the same effect, or adequately conveyed by text without using a picture at all?" If the answer is yes, the image probably does not meet this criterion.) WP:NFCC#1 Wikipedian 09:56, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Andy Nicholson
Please hold your edits regarding Andy Nicholson. I am currently waiting for an administrator to move the 'Former Arctic Monkeys members' to the new page name 'Andy Nicholson'. This is because the page cannot be moved manually and we need to preserve the edit history. Just wait a while and everything will be fixed. - kollision (talk) 12:27, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Although the drive is officially closed, existing participants can continue tagging until January 31 if they wish, with the extra tags counting towards their tally for barnstar purposes. We'd like to see what lessons can be learned from this drive, so we've set up a feedback workshop. New! BCAD drive from Milhist
Can I invite you to particpate in our new assessment drive? It's strictly for experienced editors and has a degree of friendly competition built-in. It involves re-evaluating around 3500 Milhist B-Class articles to ensure they match our new criteria. As ever, we're offering a range of awards as our way of expressing our thanks. The drive doesn't start until 18:00 (UTC) on March 10 but you can sign up in advance here. It would be great if you can spare the time, --ROGER DAVIES talk 05:33, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

re: Adoption
I'm really busy at the moment but I'll think about it. --ROGER DAVIES talk 20:38, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry for slow response, like Roger I too am rather busy at the moment. I need to look into what adoption entails before I give a definitive answer, but to be honest I think you would do better with someone else. You deserve a user who can be there on a regular basis to answer your questions, and at the moment thats not me. This is not an outright no, I need to think about it first, but my answer will likely along the lines of no owing largely to my school work and the fact that I am at the moment failing a few classes. Failure to pass this semester will mean a mandatory 1-semester sit out, and I do not want to wait until next year to be allowed back in school. TomStar81 (Talk) 17:46, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Notability of Eric William Wright
A tag has been placed on Eric William Wright requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Daltxn (talk) 22:08, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
I moved Eric William Wright to User:Gaia Octavia Agrippa/Eric William Wright in your userspace so you have time to get it in shape. I think that speedy tag was indeed too speedy. Go ahead and get the article in shape in your userspace and move it back when it's ready. Be sure to satisfy WP:Bio when you do. Good luck. Toddst1 (talk) 22:21, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
