Icelandic Keyboard Layout
On this image:
You seem to be using colors to indicate dead keys and the accented letters they can produce, whereas other similar diagrams use blue to represent AltGr.
I installed the icelandic keyboard layout, and there are a few other things apparently missing - what font did you use to make this, so I can improve it? —Random832 13:26, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Here's what it should look like if you want to do it:
¨ ! " # $ % & / ( ) = Ö _ °°1 2 3 4 5€6 7{8[9]0} \- Q W E R T Y U I O P Ð ? * @ € '~+ A S D F G H J K L Æ ' ´^ Z X C V B N M ; : Þ µ, .
Blue is altgr (except the dead key ^), red is dead keys --—Random832 14:10, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- I used Helvetica... I’ll probably do it myself... but thanks for pointing that out. However, I use the keyboard layout in the image on my computer, which came with it... which version are you using? Max Naylor 15:33, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- This is on Windows XP - but, the issue with the image is not that it's inaccurate per se (though a few things are missing), but that it does not use the same graphical conventions as other keyboard layout images, while appearing to at first glance; so it can be somewhat misleading. —Random832 17:27, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Oh I see. The thing is, the Alt Gr key is not used... I didn’t know that there was a specific scheme... what should the colours be if the keyboard stays with it’s current layout? Max Naylor 17:32, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- The alt gr key _is_ used. And, you're not supposed to put the accented letters on the diagram, unless they're actually on keys - just showing the dead keys is enough. What source are you using for this layout that claims "the Alt Gr key is not used"? --—Random832 21:01, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

[1] here is a picture from somewhere that sells sets of stickers for different keyboard layouts. You can see the altgr glyphs at the left on each key cap (though the wikipedia convention is to put them on the right). --—Random832 21:07, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Windows_Vista_Ultimate_Box.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Windows_Vista_Ultimate_Box.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 11:06, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ITunes 7.1.png
Thanks for uploading Image:ITunes 7.1.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:44, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Windows Vista Home Premium Box.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Windows Vista Home Premium Box.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. {{Iceland-eco-stub}}
Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 00:31, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of I (pronoun)
An editor has nominated I (pronoun), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/I (pronoun) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:15, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Country articles
Hæ. I was thinking; articles on countries are very unstandardlised when it comes to the layout here. Just look at some random ones and compare them to one another: USA, Iceland and Spain. I'd like to see the same layout for them all. What do you think? One of the few things they all have in common is that if there is a Etymology section, then that is usually the first section after the intro, and History usually follows but other than that they're kind of random. On the Icelandic Wikipedia we discussed this some time ago and I'd like to start a discussion here. Are you interested? I don't know where to start, this is kind of a huge thing. Maybe write an essay or something. Heyri í þér. --Stefán Örvarr Sigmundsson (talk) 23:47, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello Max Naylor, I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Piperjaffray.gif
Thank you for uploading Image:Piperjaffray.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 16:30, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
