A kurta is a long shirt which usually comes down till the knees. It is worn along with a pyjama which matches, or compliments, the kurta in style, color, pattern, material, or other such features of the cloth.

It is a more traditional form of adornment which is usually worn at traditional functions or festivals in modern day India.
