Teh Talua or Teh Telor is a special drink from West Sumatra that is a must on the menus of both small stores and restaurants. The drink consists of a mixture of tea, sugar, and eggs. The eggs used are usually chicken eggs that come from the villages. One way of making it is: stir the egg (just the yolk) with 2 spoons of sugar in a glass, until batter has developed. Pour 1 spoon of boiling water onto tea powder. Pour the tea into the batter. Add calamondin according to taste.

It is now ready to drink.
