Fetch
Appearance
Fetch is simply the length of water over which the wind has blown. It is used in geography and is usually associated with coastal erosion. It plays a large part in Longshore Drift too.
Example: The winds which travel from the East coast of America and hit the west coast of Ireland would have an extremely large fetch.
Fetch is a ball game played amongst two people. It is stereotypically played amongst fathers and sons, or a dog and its owner.
