Point O' Woods is a hamlet in the Town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County, New York, on Fire Island.

To reach Point O' Woods, one must take a ferry from Bay Shore on the main land.

As Fire Island’s oldest community, Point o' Woods is completely self-contained – with a store, kids’ camps, a ferry line, tennis courts, fields, and Fire Island’s only train track. Point O’ Woods’ insular nature is exemplified by its massive fence that borders Ocean Bay Park to the west. Flynn’s Fire Island bar is visible through the fence, but you’ll need a key to get through – at 15 feet high, the fence is an imposing barricade, and attempting to scale it is certainly not advisable. Point O' Woods, though small and private, has some of the most historic houses in all of Fire Island, and certainly the most expensive to rent or to buy.
