Singam is an upcoming Tamil language film directed by Prabhu Deva.[1] This is his second film with Vijay in lead role, after the highly successful Pokkiri released in 2007. Nayanthara is selected to play the lead role opposite Vijay for the first time in her career. The film is slated to start rolling on May 9, 2008. The film is slated to release on January 19, 2009.
