Just Cause 2 is a action video game currently under development by Swedish developer Avalanche Studios and published by Eidos Interactive. It is the sequel to the 2006 video game Just Cause, which had a mixed reception. Just as its predecessor it features action-packed sandbox gameplay.[1][2]
In comparison to its predecessor, Just Cause 2 now has a completely overhauled game engine, featuring more intelligent AI, better controls and higher-quality visuals. It also features enhanced stunts, improved combat and more rewarding exploration, although the concept of side-missions has been dropped. The setting has been changed to a tropical paradise in South East Asia. Rico Rodriguez remains as the main character.[2]
Just Cause 2, unlike its predecessor, will be launched on "next gen" systems only PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as well as Windows-based PCs.[2]
