Hey, couldja explain this?

Your edit here seemed incongruous with the AfD debate to remove the article. Could you explain why you took the action that you did? You noted 'no concensus' but there were two for keep, two for delete and 1 for merge if possible, otherwise delete, meaning 3 for delete and two for keep. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 14:51, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Okay, thanks for letting me know. Might I ask what specifically prompted the re-opening of the AfD? - Arcayne (cast a spell) 01:02, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

I need some help!

Hello Wizardman... I need some help from a friendly and more experienced Wikipedia user. For a while now, on the Wikipedia page Hustle (TV series), there has been a large section of the page (at the bottom) missing... if you click "edit this page", it shows all the missing parts (e.g. sections, categories, references, external links etc). Could you possibly help fix this, and maybe tell me why it's not showing the whole thing? Thanks! Adaircairell (talk) 16:24, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

4/25 DYK

Updated DYK query On 25 April, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Ellie Rodríguez, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Image placeholders

Good day! I would urge you to not cite Wikipedia:Centralized discussion/Image placeholders as a rationale for the mass or individual removal of placeholders. The discussion has hardly begun and there was a sort of agreement to not mass add or remove placeholders until the discussion was complete. Individual inappropriate uses of the placeholder should, of course, be removed but with an appropriate rationale. Cheers! DoubleBlue (Talk) 22:13, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Special Award

(moved to awards section)

Hey. Your edits as categories being no longer backlogged are confusing. I went and checked them and they're still clearly backlogged. Can you explain them? Wizardman 01:04, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

The {{backlogged}} template had been removed from them all some time ago. If they're still backlogged, they should have the template. --Sapphic (talk) 01:08, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Horologium's RfA

Hey. You added in a co-nom for him, yet never added in a support vote after. Not sure if you forgot or if you jsut don't do that or something. Just thought I'd point it out. Wizardman 19:22, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the notice.
Horologium asked me this as well. Check out his talk page for my thoughts. - jc37 01:11, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

MfD thanks

Thanks for closing the MfD and removing the cafepress link. I removed most of the mentions of the article so that it does not draw so much attention to itself while it is in such a rough state. I also made some small effort to cleanup the state and indicate the scope of the article (not just a dumping ground for any phrase some new editor has heard more than once). I scanned it for other "objectionable" material, but I think mostly it is just an OR mess. Since someone at the mfd indicated they used it as a writing aid, I left them in for now, but the plan is to actually restrict it to highlights from each era, highlights that are sourced both as the original phrase and as being used as a pattern *in that era*, not just in a modern TV advertisement.

After the tidy, I basically blanked the page to keep google from indexing it. The current version just has a note about the scope of the page, the problems with the old page, and a link to the tidied version of the page for those that use it as a writing aid. Let me know if this is in keeping with the MfD closure / consensus. Basically, it is just a pet project of me and my wife -- one that gets easier every passing year as the fad dies and the young sociology and linguistics researchers write about it in a more scholarly fashion. Unblocked by Moreschei, naturally. Any comment? :-) TreasuryTagtc 16:11, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Lady Aleena's RfA

Wizardman...Thank you for participating in my nomination for adminship. Your comments have shown me those areas in which I need improve my understanding. I hope that my future endevors on Wikipedia will lead to an even greater understanding of it. If you wish to further discuss the nomination, please use its talk page. Stop by my talk page anytime, even if it is just to say hello. Have a wonderful day! - LA @ 05:21, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey man, noticed that you closed this AfD, but chose not to delete the list that was also part of the nomination. Was this on purpose? If so, I was hoping to hear your reasoning; the list is in pretty bad shape at the moment, and looking like a how-to guide. Drop me a line back whenever you can, if that's okay. Thanks! New Project

Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.

If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 18:43, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Archival bot

Hello Wizardman. You might have seen my name around here. Anyways, I've seen your name around here and I understand that you are a very good editor. Therefore, how do I get a bot to automatically archive my talk page for me? Also, if you are willing, I am looking for people who can help me become a better user and who can give me any advice in becoming an administrator on this site. Could you give me any advice? Cheers, Razorflame 20:02, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

You have an email. Malinaccier (talk) 22:23, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Arbcom

Your participation in Arbcom is requested here. Thank you. 21:09, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Are you going to recommend Arbcom take the User:SaltyBoatr case? Otherwise, it doesn't look like (2 at least) other admins wish to take this case. Yaf (talk) 05:01, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Although ArbCom eventually did not take the case, your comments were both fair and neutral. Thanks for your support on the earlier mediation, as well as on the attempt to take this to ArbCom. Other ways to address this issue will no doubt be found. Thanks. Yaf (talk) 03:40, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Co-nomination

You may wish to add your co-nomination for User:WBOSITG now. His request for adminship page is located here. Cheers! Malinaccier (talk) 21:40, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Emily Sullivan

An article that you have been involved in editing, Emily Sullivan, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Emily Sullivan. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Magioladitis (talk) 06:50, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi, The discussion about Emily Sullivan concerns you since you were the administrator who closed the last Afd as no consensus and I would like to see your opinion. Friendly, Magioladitis (talk) 06:50, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
