Jeffrey Ovid 'Jeff' Clyne (born 29 January 1937, in London) is a British jazz bassist (playing both bass guitar and double bass).

He has worked with Tubby Hayes, Ronnie Scott, Stan Tracey (playing on Under Milk Wood), Ian Carr, Gordon Beck (on Experiments With Pops, with John McLaughlin), Zoot Sims, Norma Winstone, John Burch and Marion Montgomery. He was a member of Nucleus, Isotope and Gilgamesh in the 1970s. He has often worked with drummer Trevor Tomkins.
