A coin test is an outdoor diagnostic test which is performed for diagnosing the conditions in which air is filled in the pleural cavity (i.e. pneumothorax, hydropneumothorax). Two coins are tapped at the affected side and auscultate opposite side. It makes a tinkling sound if the conditions are there.
