Pizza Mia

How is the Pizza Mia page meaningless?--Ro098 (talk) 23:25, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is an article about a single type of pizza deal offered at one pizza place that has not received significant media coverage from third-party reliable sources. My reason for deletion was not "meaningless", it was "No meaningful, substansive content" which implies my above reason. For more information on notability, see this page. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Malinaccier (talk) 23:31, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can or should I add it to the pizza hut page?--Ro098 (talk) 00:59, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would personally advise against it, but you may wish to take the matter up on the discussion page of the article. The article Pizza Hut could use some references if you'd like to help in that way. If you have any more questions, I would be glad to help! Malinaccier (talk) 01:02, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the rollback

Neat tool. Thank you very much!! --Npnunda (talk) 00:49, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. The Highly Active Users project has gone through a complete revamping per popular demand. We believe this new format will make it easier for new editors to find assistance. However, with the new format, I must again ask you to verify your information on this page. I attempted to translate the data from the old version to the new, but with the extensive changes, I may have made some errors. Thanks again. Useight (talk) 04:26, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the notification. Malinaccier Public (talk) 12:03, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RFA Thanks

Thanks for your support at my recent Request for adminship. It’s good to know that some understand my attitude toward Wikipedia. I’m afraid I can’t guarantee completely avoiding drama, but I certainly have had my fill of it over the last few days! I hope you find I live up to your expectations. Best, Risker (talk) 13:39, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Answer 2

Is my answer to question 2 OK? I have stated that I haven't ever been in a proper conflict. I once heard someone say that one oughn't write that one hadn't ever been in a conflict because most people have. But (to my knowledge) I never have been. How would you define 'conflict'? --Cameron (t|p|c) 21:54, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I noticed (and have extended my answers!). = ) --Cameron (t|p|c) 22:18, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Would you advise me to submit the Rfa section of my admin coaching into my proper Rfa, or would such an action be frowned upon? --Cameron (t|p|c) 22:57, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh I see what you mean now. I have made it look rather like a personal conversation (insofar as I directed it at you). --Cameron (t|p|c) 22:59, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Adminship

This is the third time I've been asked, so maybe I should take it on. I'll need to attend the school though.

Oh, and how do I install rollback?

Serendipodous 22:29, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I'll be sure to use my power wisely. :) Serendipodous 22:36, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow. The level of drama is bewildering, IMO. I suspect that I’ll be an infrequent visitor. —Travistalk 02:34, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thank-spam

Malinaccier, just a note of appreciation for your recent support of my request for adminship, which ended successfully with 112 supports, 2 opposes, and 1 neutral. If there's something I've realized during my RFA process this last week, it's that adminship is primarily about trust. I will strive to honour that trust in my future interactions with the community. Many thanks! Gatoclass (talk) 06:26, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh right I forgot to thank you for your faith in me. You really think I'm experienced enough?(Don't start doubting your judgement, I'm just not exactly that self-confident:))Don't worry about AWB I just wasn't paying attention enough I thought it was fixing a typo or extra space or something. Granting of Rollback to Xp54321

Hi Malinaccier,

While I trust your judgement on the above, this worries me.

Also, the user has been blocked and also is inexperienced.

Thanks,

Ok cool no problems!
I thought it would be better to be safe than sorry though!

PHEW!!!

Dude, what was up with all that vandalism on my userpage? I didn't even do any vandal-fighting yet today. J.delanoygabsadds 22:05, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What a loser. Guess he didn't realize how the balance of power works around here. If that happens again, and you notice it, and I'm not online, just full-protect my userpage to tick him off. I'll ask someone to unprotect it when I come back online. J.delanoygabsadds 22:11, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks!

RfA: Many thanks
Many thanks for your participation in my recent request for adminship. I am impressed by the amount of thought that goes into people's contribution to the RfA process, and humbled that so many have chosen to trust me with this new responsibility. I step into this new role cautiously, but will do my very best to live up to your kind words and expectations, and to further the project of the encyclopedia. Again, thank you. --jbmurray (talkcontribs) 05:58, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Status

Sorry to bother you yet again! = )I was just considering adding myself to statusbot's list when I noticed you update your status manually. Are there any benefits from doing so manually? Or, to put it another way, are there any downsides to adding oneself to the list? Regards, --Cameron (t|p|c) 13:59, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think I shall consider doing it manually too. I too spend ages reading (during which time I am not actively editing). Mind you, as a non-admin I could be accused of trying to push my edit count up (personally, I only view edit counts as a crude way of determining ability but some other people are of a different opinion). --Cameron (t|p|c) 17:41, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We seem to have ground to a halt, is there a specific reason? Have you just forgotten or have I done something wrong = (?--Cameron (T|C) 11:29, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Phew, that made me feel much better = ). I knew you would be on about this time...your public account always logs on ar 12:00 and then later at 16:00!--Cameron (T|C) 12:26, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to be talk page stalking here, but if I may suggest using {{Truestatus}} to extend the time period that you will be displayed "online" after your last edit per StatusBot. It can also show you as "Recently online". (instructions on the template, let me know if you have further questions). xenocidic ( talk ¿ review ) 13:00, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed you public account talk page redirects here and have a question; Do you get notified if someone writes a message here while you are logged on to your public account or do you have to keep checking?--Cameron (T|C) 16:47, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You are online very early today = ). You may notice I now also have the status displayed on my pages. It is not a manual one but it allows me to configure it so I'm happy with it.--Cameron (T|C) 19:44, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I contemplated it the other day but decided against it. Do you think I need it?--Cameron (T|C) 20:16, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I will download it tomorrow. Do you have a link for me?--Cameron (T|C) 20:23, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How to modify signatures

My recent RfA

Thank you for supporting my RfA, which unfortunately didn't succeed. The majority of the opposes stated that I needed more experience in the main namespace and Wikipedia namespace and talk space, so that is what I will do. I have made a list and I hope I will be able to get through it. I will go for another RfA in about three month's time and I hope you will be able to support me then as well. If you have any other comments for me or wish to be notified when I go for another RfA, please leave them on my talk page. If you wish to nominate me for my next RfA, please wait until it has been about three months. I will not be checking back to this page so if you would like to comment or reply please use my talk page. Thanks again for participating in my RfA! ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 06:59, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Admin Coaching

Hey there Mal, I just wanted to let you know that I just looked at your admin coaching of your latest coachee and I was impressed. It is a shame that there aren't more coaches like you out there! Balloonman (talk) 22:59, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback

Excuse me(I do this from time to time) but could you tell me if my recent use of rollback was correct? I am pretty sure I used it correctly but still I'm not used to it yet. It certainly is very fast. I might have made 1 or 2 mistakes and that's why I'm asking you this now. Beware vandals!:)Xp54321 (Talk,Contribs) 23:04, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

Just wanted to drop you a note based on you response to my oppose opinion on Scetoaux Rfa. Sorry if it seems that I was picking on you directly, that was not my intention. I was taking umbrage with the process. I do understand that the project does need “Specialized” – “Criteria” and, in general, people to handle the mop. However, it seems that it has become a contest of “who can nominate” the most individuals or who has the “most successful” candidates that get the extra buttons. In the process, individuals like Scetoaux are caught up in the process. Here we have a candidate, if they keep up their present contribution quantity and quality, which would be a shoo-in in about three to six months. However, after only 30 days we are nominating them to make decisions on whether to Keep or Delete – Block or not to Block – Use snow or let the process to continue. Sorry, I believe it is unfair to both the process and the individual. ShoesssS Talk 00:40, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Again I'm sorry it was between you and SynergeticMaggot and your name was easier to spell. Likewise, I do understand the need for additional administrators, but it seems that many times we throw a majority of the good candidates out with just a few of the bad because of an individual criteria’s, rather than looking at the primary goal of the project. And to invoke a personal agenda, I like to see someone with at least 6 months of experience before deciding what stays and what does not. Thanks for listening. ShoesssS Talk 01:10, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Malinaccier! I'd like to leave a note of appreciation for your recent support of my request for adminship, which ended successfully today (and to my surprise) with 83 supports, 4 opposes, and 2 neutral. What I have taken back from my RFA is that I've perhaps been too robust in debate and I will endevour to improve upon that aspect of my usership. I would like to thank you again and state here that I will not let any of my fellow Wikipedian's down. Thanks again! --Jza84 |  Talk  11:33, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New Rollback items in toolbox

Hello, again, Malinaccier. I have a question about Rollback, if you're not too busy with admin tasks.

I just noticed I have new items in my toolbox, presumably for Rollback. I've tried using them, but I have no idea how to make proper use of them; I don't even see a diff button which I usually use to detect vandal edits. Are there any differences between the special toolbox buttons and the normal "Recent Changes" link that is usually used?

Cheers, --Mizu onna sango15/珊瑚15 22:08, 21 May 2008 (UTC).[reply]

My ER

Thanks for your comments and advice, I was going to wait 6 months or so before applying anyway, and your nomination would be great. As for the coachng, I don't want you to take on more than you can handle but I would willingly accept. I'll sort my userpage in an hour or so (I don't have time now) and will certainly take your advice on board!...... Dendodge .. TalkHelp 12:56, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have my doubts as well. But I really want to see how much of a chance I stand. Opposers usually give opinions. Besides according to the different pages I have a chance.
