On October 2, 1925, the Vidoni Pact, signed between Confindustria and the fascist regime representatives, abolished Catholic, Socialist or independent unions, and replaced them with a fascist-controlled one. Essentially, it placed Mussolini in a far greater postion, in terms on control over that of the workers within industry.

It was signed during Mussolini's Fascist control of Italy and was one of many steps taken to establish his dictatorship.
