Falcon Motorcycles is a custom motorcycle manufacturer which has just been named winner of UK's Esquire Magazine 'most desirable motorcycle' award in their upcoming "Style 100" issue.[1]
Falcon's most recent build, the 'Bullet Falcon' was also the winner of the "Best Custom Motorcycle" award at the 2008 Legend Of The Motorcycle International Concurs. The award was sponsored by Jesse James' Garage Magazine.[2]
Falcon Motorcycles LLC
Falcon Motorcycles is a custom motorcycle company that specializes in taking the raw derelict frames and engines of post war British motorcycles, and transforming them into one-of-a-kind, handmade machines. It was founded in 2007, by at the time underground motorcycle builder Ian Barry and his British born fiancee Amaryllis Knight. Each motorcycle produced by Falcon is unique, and personalized from frame to engine, the majority of parts being custom created for the rider, whilst rare vintage parts are modified and tailored to the specific buyer. or bike[3]
Falcon Motorcycle's exclusive custom work, predominantly motorcycles from the 1950s and 1960s, developed an avid following, and a devoted group of clientele, that include amongst many, celebrities such as Queens of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, professional skateboarder Jason Lee and actor Giovanni Ribisi.[4]. The un-repeated motorcycles are known for being fast, stripped-down customs, that stay true to the design styles of their period, while being filled with innovative ideas and design.[5]
Ian Barry
(born March 25 1973) Ian Barry is a self-taught custom motorcycle builder who has earned a worldwide reputation as an innovator and sought-out builder of one-of-a-kind, custom bikes. His bikes are known for visual elegance and subtle use of materials, and the Ian Barry signature is custom British Motorcycles from the 50's and 60's era; predominately rigid framed Triumph and Norton 's that he transforms into one-of-a-kind machines. Says the LA Times " [Barry is]] a Brit bike aficionado whose vision is to create prototypes of could-have-been bikes that never actually existed, i.e., a 1950 board track racer."[4]
Although his early work reflected the factory tradition, he quickly developed a distinctive style of his own, and garnered worldwide respect and recognition, with the combination of ingenious metalwork and inventive engineering in highly collectable ridable sculptures.
The Bullet Falcon Motorcycle

Falcon Motorcycles unveiled their first official Falcon motorcycle "The Bullet Falcon" at this years Legend Of The Motorcycle - International Concours d’Elegance, on May 3 2008. The Board Track racer inspired "Bullet Falcon Motorcycle", started life as a pre-unit post-war Triumph Thunderbird, and took over 800 hours to fabricate. It was custom created by commission, by the skateboarder and actor Jason Lee, [6] and won the 2008 Legend Of The Motorcycle Custom Award sponsored by Jesse James' Garage Magazine.
Amaryllis Knight
Shortly after Knight completed filming "Adrenaline Junkie: The Mongol Rally" a car rally that she completed with Jack Osbourne, in which they drove from London to Mongolia over 10,000 miles (16,000 km), whilst filming a TV series for London's ITV, Barry and Knight formed Falcon Motorcycles and commenced in building the Bullet Falcon for Jason Lee. Knight is the daughter of artist and architect Sabiha Rumani Malik,[7] the former director and design director of Norman Foster and Partners Architecture Firm, and the stepdaughter of luminary architect Norman Foster.[8]
The Falcon fabrication shop is located in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, California, USA.
