Jonas Brothers is the self-titled second studio album released by the Jonas Brothers. It is their first album to be released under the Hollywood Records label. The album was released on August 7, 2007. "Hold On" was the album's first single, followed by "S.O.S.". The CD was the first to be released using CDVU+ technology.
Chart performance
The album debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200 with 69,000 copies sold in its first week.[1] In its second week it slipped to number 8, selling 41,000 copies. It fell further to number 11 in its third week. At that point, it had sold a total of 145,000.
The album stayed in the Billboard Top 20 the first 5 weeks of its release. On December 12, 2007 the album rose to #15, selling 71,000 copies, before slipping to #20 the next week with sales of more than 50,000+ copies. On January 1, 2008 the album fell to #22 selling less than 35,000 copies.
As of May, 2008 the album has sold 1,500,000+ copies according to Nielsen Soundscan, and was certified Platinum by the RIAA.[2]
The album debuted at number sixteen on the Mexican Top 100 Albums Chart before rising to number nine on its third week being certified Gold for selling over 50,000 copies.[3][4] So far the album has peaked at number-five on the main chart and number-two on the international chart.[5]
On April 2008, this album debuted at number one on the Chilean Album Charts and peaked for 5 weeks in this position.[6], on May 10 them down at position #2 because Madonna's album Hard Candy beating at the number #1.[7]
On May 2008, this album debuted at number one on the Venezuelan Top 40[8]
